Were you prepared for your baby to be ON you for 9 months?

All babies are different but many will need to be on your body for 9ish months. In fact they benefit from being on you in these early months.

This is very different than what society will tell you. Mothers are pushed to make their babies independent, to put their baby down often, to spend a fortune on baby products that mimic (insufficiently) this holding, to train their baby to be alone.

Babies need to be held, it’s normal so please expect it. Get a good fitting baby carrier and live your best life mama!

Were you prepared for your baby to need to be beside you from 9 months to 18 months? And more like 3-5 years!

This is very different than what society will tell you. Mothers are pushed to have their baby play alone, sleep alone, be independent.

Babies do best when they’re beside you. This gives them the safety to play, explore and have fun. And always remember that YOU are their favorite and best toy ✨💗✨

Just the first week home after baby is born is 7 days with breakfast, lunch, dinner and if you're lucky two snacks. 35 times you and your family will need to eat...at least! While you focus on feeding your baby, let me focus on feeding you and your family. We will have a chat ahead of time to plan for what you would like, and I come and whip it all up in your kitchen! These recovery tips are very simple, too simple. Your brain is going to say "yeah but..." and as your doula say yeah but nothing. You just went through a monumental life changing event that deserves to be respected and your wellbeing is the utmost importance.
