✨ Mel’s journey ✨

Mel came to Lift & Thrive after starting a new desk-job and quickly realised she needed to do something to make sure she was moving, looking after her body and easing her aches and pains from spending 9-5 at a desk.

She wanted to get some of her fitness and energy back, and feel more confident in her clothes. She was feeling tired a lot of the time and reaching for sweet snacks.

Over the past few months Mel has put in the hard work to make some real changes. We’ve added in daily mobility (just 5 mins) which is helping ease those desk jobs aches, built in a home strength workout to build strength in her back and keep her strong for her running goals.

Mel has dialled in on her nutrition, with daily accountability and guidance she’s massively increased her veg and protein intake, is more mindful about her nutritional choices and has significantly reduced her snacking on sweets.

She no longer gets that bloated feeling, confidence is up, and the scales are moving too.

This has all been done whilst still enjoying meals out with friends and family and not cutting out her favourite foods.

In her own words… “Emma has been amazing and this programme has been perfect for me. I’m feeling more energised and motivated. I’m also drinking more water and not reaching for sugary snacks or cordial as much. My body has changed shape too!”.

I’ve been where you are… 🤯
When I first started training, I was stuck in a 9–5 desk job, moving almost none of the day. I joined a gym with zero idea what I was doing. Just hopping on the treadmill, hoping for results.

Luckily, a gym manager gave me a strength programme and showed me the machines. I went from avoiding the weights room to loving how powerful I felt lifting. I fell completely in love with training, fuelling my body properly, and pushing myself in ways I never thought I could.

I learned the hard way what works and what doesn’t. Although I spent hours listening to podcasts and consuming fitness content, everything clicked when I finally got my own coach. Proper fuelling, structured training, and learning to be consistent over time rather than chasing perfection. That’s when I really started to see progress, feel stronger, and notice my energy and confidence skyrocket.

I know exactly what it’s like to:
• Sit at a desk all day feeling stiff, achy, or low-energy.
• Get tempted by the cakes, biscuits, and chocolates around the office.
• Struggle to plan workouts and meals so your week runs smoothly.
• Feel like you’re always “starting over” on Monday.

“I feel extra motivated this week… it’s so silly but I’ve noticed my bum is more toned, and it hasn’t looked like this in years 🤣”

When we first started, Emily was struggling with:

Just taking 10 minutes after you’ve eaten your lunch to walk and get some fresh air helps with digestion to reduce that bloated feeling.

You’ll feel more energised and have more focus for the rest of your work day.

You’ll come back to your desk feeling more calm and clear-headed.

She didn’t think she could. Now look at her 👏🏼

Nikky told me before our first session that she couldn’t touch her toes and it was something she REALLY wanted to be able to do.

A few months into her journey and she could do it with ease (and smiling whilst she does!).

We got there through consistent strength training, with mobility work and stretches built into every session.

Nikky showed up and put in the work and now she’s feeling stronger, confident and much more flexible! 💪🏼🔥
