Yesterday, past and present students, along with colleagues, gathered to honor a truly remarkable matriarch—the mother of Paediatric Cardiology in South Africa and beyond. Prof. Cilliers is the epitome of excellence and humility, inspiring countless individuals with her unwavering dedication and expertise. As she embarks on her well-deserved retirement, we celebrate her extraordinary legacy. She has trained an entire generation of Paediatric Cardiologists, leaving an indelible mark on the field and transforming the lives of many. While her presence will be profoundly missed, we remain deeply grateful for her invaluable contributions and the lasting inspiration she provides. We wish her all the joy and adventure this new chapter of life has to offer! ❤️

The Pre-Congress Electrophysiology Symposium held at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital was a fantastic opportunity for learning and collaboration.
