We can’t fix you but we can guide you through the methods that are necessary for you to begin your own personal transformation with understanding and compassion. We will support you through your journey because we have been through our own. We use our own personal experiences of overcoming difficult times to help you through yours. Using ancient eastern technology, but with a western twist, the Dark Ginger Yoga duo will guide you through your own personal transformation course. Sam and Sonia know how important it is for you to feel held and supported, every step of the way, during your 21 day journey. Think of them as your own personal mentors for 21 days. We transform through Sādhanā (sad-an-a), a term that comes from the yogic tradition. We use a technology called a kriya, which is essentially a powerful moving meditation. Other offerings
Come and join us for our weekly online live Zoom mind spa experience, where we encompass breathwork, meditation and yoga nidra for a fully immersive relaxation session to help relax and calm down your mind. Whether you are experienced in all three of these practices and would like to try a new group or if you are a complete beginner and would like to start practicing  you will be made very welcome each week by Sam and Sonia. We start our 45 minutes together with a different pranayama (breathwork)  exercise each week, then a guided meditation practice finishing with a few moments of silent meditation, and end with a relaxing yoga nidra, yogic sleep, although you stay alert as we guide you into a state of complete relaxation and peace . Yoga nidra is  a form of meditation that you ’receive’ instead of ‘do’ ideal for anyone who thinks they can’t meditate or suffers from lack of sleep and worry. After the practice you feel refreshed and much calmer as the brain files away your day in your long term memory leaving you with more space and less thoughts. What we don’t often realise is that it can also ruin our happiness! Our guided meditations lead you to a place of mental well-being, peace and happiness, even when life is very difficult. When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as our problem, but in reality whatever problems we experience come from our mind. Therefore if we want to be happy, strong, and successful we must learn to develop and control our mind! Perhaps you have been asked to lower your blood pressure by your doctor, or you need to reduce your stress levels. Perhaps you suffer from anxiety or would like to increase your attention span, increase your memory capacity or help overcome problems with addictive behaviours. Meditation has been proven to help in these cases. Yoga days
 Sam and Sonia look forward to welcoming you to their Yoga days out. Holland House offers a calm nurturing sanctuary away from the busyness of our modern world, featuring many cosy nooks and crannies  and three acres of beautiful gardens sloping down to the River Avon. Our retreat day features an extended yoga journey, where we break through limiting patterns, through pranayama (breath work) Kryia (energy) Asana ( physical poses  ) and weaving through the journey will be meditation, ancient wisdom and Savasana (lying on our backs in relaxation). A freshly prepared delicious vegan/vegetarian lunch will then be served . There will be refreshments throughout the day including warm home made biscuits with your morning break . After a delicious freshly prepared 2 course vegetarian  lunch including  fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden , we will give you an explanation of the journey and answer any questions or sensations  that may have surfaced for you. After a break we will conclude our day with tips for a restful nights sleep, showing you a few stretches to help you wind down then finish with a guided relaxing yoga nidra  which takes you to a state of complete relaxation as you are guided through a practice where your consciousness drifts between awake and asleep, you finish the practice feeling rested and refreshed. Our day will end with tea and cake .
