Do you know that recently Cholera is killing more people in Nigeria than COVID-19? Please watch what you eat and drink this period...wash your food items thoroughly. Imagine if that market seller entered the public toilet to do number 2 and didn't wash his hands thoroughly. He then uses those same hands to touch the carrots or waterleaves that you are buying to cook for your lovely family. If you don't wash your "carrots" or "waterleaves" thoroughly, you would have just dashed your family serious cholera. Let's stay safe please! If this health reminder was useful please drop a comment below 😁😉 with Grace

What's That Smell?
Imagine this, you are just sitting down in the bus, minding your business when one guy sits down beside you and boom....the stench! Or you are at the salon and as the hairstylist raises her hands to wash your hair, you feel like you have died and gone to hell, but you just have to respect yourself and pray for the torture to end! That's BODY ODOUR (BO) for you....the mixture of sweat and bacteria that causes a bad smell.

Here are 6 things to do to ensure that you stay fresh and clean for yourself and for the benefit of those around you 😊
1. Take regular baths (take your time to scrub areas like armpit, private part, feet, etc.).
2. Wash your underwear regularly.
3. Shave and use antiperspirants.
4. Wear clothes that allow you to perspire without clogging your skin.
5. Watch what you eat. Experts say that eating a lot of foods that have a strong smell (e.g. garlic, onions, etc.) and a lot of protein could affect the smell of your sweat.
6. See a medical specialist if all these do not work.

Feel free to add any other body odour prevention tips in the comments section.

Unfortunately, many people who have BO don't realise that they have it. Have you been in a situation where you had to tell someone that they had BO? How did the conversation go? Let's talk about it in the comments section 😁

On October 27, 2021, the Lagos State Government, in collaboration with the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 and the National Primary Health Care Development Agency flagged off a COVID-19 mass vaccination campaign. The aim is to vaccinate 4 million Lagos residents before the end of 2021.

The vaccine is given free of charge at Government hospitals, but if you want to use an approved private health facility in 'Lasgidi' you will be required to pay 6,000 Naira.

So, Lagosians, take this opportunity to get your jab, let's build herd immunity in Nigeria, so that we can hopefully get rid of this disease! If you don't know where you can take the vaccine, just go to NPHCDA website (www.nphcda.gov.ng) and click on the list of vaccination sites and choose the location that is convenient for you. Stay safe!

The past 3 months have been hard! Yep...dealt with deaths of family members and friends (all young people)... handled personal grief and loss like a "gbo gbo bigz girls" (I tried but the tears still dropped from time to time) 🙂 Been in and out of hospitals (even the doctors, radiologists, nurses, lab scientist, receptionists and security men, sef should be tired of seeing my face by now 😂) Been in the dreaded theatre twice (I think I should be a pro now...Can they allow us buy those anaesthetic drugs for good sleep and calmness 😁 Now I know why people take drugs for that "high" feeling 🙈🙊)

I just want to say God has been good. The experience is not one I would like to have again, but His faithfulness is forevermore. I'm not there yet, but I'm grateful. Thanks to the amazing support from my family and friends.

Health Convos will be back stronger by God's grace 🤗

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I posted on this platform. I hope we've all been good. This year has been topsy-turvy but I thank God for the gift of life and restoration of health. I recently took my COVID-19 vaccine, and I've got requests asking for where people can get their jabs. Please check this link below and select any vaccination post that's convenient for you. Stay safe everyone. God bless you.

I saw this on social media and had to share!!! Gosh! Good times indeed! I believe COVID-19 has made all of us have OCD 😂 Things we took for granted are now very important. In these times, please consider the people who will eat the cake before you blow the candles 😁 Better still, use those candles that are like fireworks - no need to blow! 💃😁

Oh! My dear country!! People are still battling with trusting the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines that the Federal Government is planning to introduce this year; meanwhile others are already importing FAKE COVID-19 vaccines! We appreciate NAFDAC for alerting the public on this fake vaccines matter. If you plan to receive COVID-19 vaccines, go to only trusted health facilities please. I want to believe that these health facilities already have their procedures to ensure that it's only certified/approved vaccines that are used.

In the meantime:
1. Keep wearing your masks when you are in public. Ensure that you cover your nose and mouth.
2. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, and use hand sanitizers.
3. Avoid large crowds.
4. Practice physical distancing, meaning you should maintain at least 2 metres distance between yourself and other people.
5. As much as you can, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unclean hands.

What are your thoughts on the COVID-19 vaccines? Are you willing to be vaccinated?

Stay safe everyone!

As a communications expert, my eyes already caught some grammatical errors in the texts, but let's focus on the message 😂 Logically some of the statements sound realistic...but I have never heard of urine that smells like meat o! Medical professionals, please are these statements factual?😁👍

You cannot smash those goals if you are not in good health. Take care of you! Have an amazing week 😎👍

What is one thing (or maybe two things 😁) you will do consistently to improve your health this week?

As for me, I plan to MOVE!!! Counting steps and shaking off the effects of the sedentary lifestyle I've had for the past weeks (thanks to office work) 😁.

Okay, tell me your plan(s) let's see if we can keep ourselves accountable till the end of the week 🤗

Cheers to the new week!🥂

The past few days have been bad! I even told my family some days ago that my mental health was at stake! It was difficult concentrating to do official work knowing fully well that armed thugs were casually roaming the streets with matchets, knives and all manner of weapons! The impunity! The killings yesterday were the height of it all!!! People are totally broken! People are angry! People are bitter! I am too! As we try out best to heal, let's remember those who have paid the price, let's pray for their families and let's pray for God to intervene in our nation.
