They say you’re supposed to share from the scar, not the wound...meaning to share experiences you’ve overcome and not what you’re currently going through.
I disagree. I’m pretty sure you’d be hard pressed to find anyone not faced with stress in some way in this day and age.
And I’m no exception, friend.
But what I have learned over the years is that stress goes far beyond emotion. The more I’ve dealt with anxiety and how our incredible bodies work the more I’ve found just how toxic it can be.
While occasional stress absolutely happens, prolonged or frequent bouts of stress effect our immune systems, reproductive organs, brains, and even alters our DNA 😮😳
Trust me when I say that typing these words is SO much easier said than done some days. But giving priority to processing and reducing stress is as important as reading labels. Add in daily habits like:
🖤 unfollowing accounts/watching things that increase worry or stress
🖤journal your thoughts and feelings every day to help process them
🖤get your feet on the ground once a day (aka grounding) to help reduce your bodies stress responses
🖤consider chiropractic to help regulate the nervous system
🖤adjust your schedule or daily routine to help reduce chaotic feelings when possible
🖤move your body DAILY. What your body releases during movement counteracts the effects of stress
It’s ok to fiercely protect our peace. In fact, our health depends on it. ☺️
