I completed Aromapsychology level I and II with Tisserand Institute. It was such a positive experience, combining research studies supporting the use of specific aromatics in addressing emotional and cognitive concerns, taught by people who had actual clinical psychotherapy experience and credentials.
This is a great article about the use of essential oils in reducing feelings of anxiety. They are not a “magic bullet” or standalone treatment, but they can be a wonderful part of an overall holistic approach to mental health support.
