YOUR HEALTH.

How many times have you said to yourself "I'll wait till I have more time" or "It's too expensive or "I'll just do one more thing first" and then time passes, the appointment becomes more expensive and that to-do list grows longer.

Why do we tend to put our health further down the priority list?
Nutrition, exercise, sleep, physical or mental health, we've all been there.

I encourage you to put your health first. Write down the things that have been playing on your mind and jot them down. Make the appointment. Go for the walk. Make that recipe you've been wanting to try.

WHOLE FRUIT VS. FRUIT JUICE

It is a common observation that people prefer having fruit juices rather than whole fruits and many are of the view that fruit juices are healthier or have enhanced nutrient content than whole fruits which is nothing but a major misconception.

Fruit juices since they have the fiber content removed entirely are as bad for you as other drinks because in the absence of fiber natural sugars from the fruit cause a surge in your blood glucose level the same way as any other commercially processed drink would do.

Fiber present in whole fruits binds with the sugars and allows a slow release thus preventing sudden surge in blood glucose level which occurs on the consumption of fruit juices.

To sum it up, whole fruits must always be preferred over fruit juices!

This nutritious and refreshing drink is ideal for consumption in summer season which has reached its peak already.

The recipe is super easy!
Ingredients:
3-4 peeled and pitted peaches
2 tbsp honey
3-4 ice cubes
1 C Greek yogurt
Method:
Blend all ingredients into a fine smoothie. Enjoy!

I would suggest inculcating creative activities into your routine and cooking is def one of them!
Happy quarantine cooking y'all!
This by the way is wholewheat pasta with red sauce and grilled chicken chunks, a product of quarantine cooking! 🍝🥫 RECIPE: 🍅Ingredients:
250 g wholewheat pasta (Brand name:Buitoni integrale)
3-4 garlic cloves(chopped)
3 tbsp oil
500 g boneless chicken cubes
Tinned tomato paste (1/2 cup)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 C chicken stock
Black pepper (to taste)
Salt (to taste)
🍅Method:
1.Boil 2 liters of water and add pasta to it, let it boil until the pasta is tender. Drain once tender.

2. Add 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add chopped garlic, saute until golden brown. Add in the chicken and cook until its tender. Add in seasonings (salt and pepper to taste)

3. Put the chicken aside.

4. Prepare red sauce by adding half a tin of tomato paste in a pan, add chicken stock, soy sauce and seasonings. Cook until the sauce is of desired consistency.
5. Toss in boiled pasta and cooked chicken.
6. Garnish with spring onion ENJOY!!
