There is so much that impacts how we feel. One of my current goals is to get more sleep. How about you? What is a current wellness goal for you?

It's been six weeks since I fell and sprained an ankle and broke a toe, all while recovering from shingles and Covid.
Wow! It's been a journey of learning patience on whole new level. My body is healing, on schedule. Or, on it's schedule.
The sprained ankle still has swelling, the broken toe is still achy with occasional swelling. I wasn't prepared for the slowness of healing. And here I am, examining my beliefs on healing, and learning, again, the value of patience and letting the body heal at it's pace.

The first 2 weeks patience came easily, I had little choice in the matter. These last 2 weeks, I get subtle reminders to slow down and think through movements before engaging my feet. Once again I am practicing gratitude.

I am grateful that I am healing. I am grateful for the newly learned/re-learned patience. I am grateful for the rest these injuries forced me to take. I am grateful for the support I received when I needed it. I am grateful for the gift of a walking stick I received years ago. I am grateful that Bob and I spent time walking Colonial Williamsburg, and that we were able to do so soon after that fall.

I am grateful for the growth spurred by injury, and grateful for the recovery.💕

Why would I offer grief coaching?

I have lived with grief (my own and others') for a long time.
I know what it is to be stuck, mired in the muck of your pain.

I know how it feels to get up and out of the muck, and find your joy again. I WANT TO HELP YOU climb out of the mess and FIND YOUR JOY again!

What is grief?
What does it mean to you?

Are you trapped in grief? Stuck? Frustrated that you are not living the life you want because your grief is always there, playing in the background of your mind?

I would love to help you overcome your grief and live in the present, feeling the love and joy that are your without guilt or shame around unresolved grief.

Let's talk about it.

Our Story

Body In Balance is the massage therapy practice of Tianne Wheat Ellis, a 1995 graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage. Tianne specializes in the John Barnes' method of Myofascial Release and cranio-sacral therapy. The goal of these techniques is to help provide a balance in the entire nervous system, working from the outside (muscles) inward to the spinal cord and it's fluids.

I was drawn to massage therapy as a career path as a teenager. I had always experienced headache and wanted to find more holistic treatment options. Watching a family member struggle with chronic pain mobilized me to study massage therapy. I am on the path that was intended for me. I still get to say that I do what I love, and I love what I do!
