Hello everyone she let's me post now. It's been a year since my surgeries. I am doing great if only someone would hire an old man lol. But seriously I am doing great I feel better than I did for a long time. I didn't realize just how sick I was before. I want to thank each and every follower on this page and for all the interaction
From each of you. I will continue to post and if anyone out there has questions I'm sure sure between my wife and I we will definitely try to answer them. Hey hey yall! Just a quick update.
So we had to come back to Florida Mayo clinic for David's (Opie) follow up. Yall know we had a lot if trouble getting funds/ insurance to come back for his 4 month then 6 month checkups. So they are treating this as his year mark.
So David is 98% good. His cholesterol is a little high so giving him meds for that for 6 months.. He has some kidney damage due to his liver meds so that got a dosage change and another med added to hopefully heal his kidneys. They want him on a Mediterranean diet from here out. Lots of restrictions. Pretty much like before. With occasional cheat days. But as far as his liver and everything else he has exceeded expectations!!!!!!!
Ain't GOD SO GOOD!
Opie doesn't have to come back for a year. Still need labs done bi weekly for a month or so then monthly.

We are trying to raise $ to get back to Florida Mayo for Opie's transplant follow up. We are going to start setting up a yard/bake sale each day the weather / appointments allow. Captains log 2- 11-23 2:12a after 7 hours from first call ER said everything looked great. I'm not sure why the previous tests were so off. They speculated a bad draw. I speculate mega prayers! THANK YALL!!!
Opie ( David)was a bit dehydrated so they hooked him up with some iv fluids, and we were discharged. Now home for some sleep!

Good morning everyone!!!! I know it's been a minute since we've posted on here. Not really a lot been happening just making it day to day. David is doing really good and getting better everyday. We have a follow up appointment in March in Jacksonville if things play out right.

Good morning everyone! We just got in labs from Monday and guess what!?! His WBC ( white blood cells) are finally back up. 2.3! Not great by a long shot ( needs to be 5+) but so much better than .9 Thank you for your prayers!!🥰

With the flu running rampant we just can't take chances. The lab keeps us a week behind, so pray the results from Tuesdays draw are better.

Anyway Opies nurse just released him from a lot of his restrictions. He still needs to wear a mask and be safe, don't pick up too much weight. He can resume riding his motorcycle as long as he doest try to overdo. Yall know that made him happier than a bird with a French fry!

Nurse Amy called and that nasty old CMV virus was undetectable in his last bloodwork! Yayyyyy. Good bye 1 super expensive med!! His tacrolimus levels were still a bit high so adjusted those meds down. Wbc is still critically low but all in all great news!!!

Update... what's a simple sinus issue for us is a big deal for Opie. Nurse Amy said lots of fluid, lots of rest, quaran...

Update... what's a simple sinus issue for us is a big deal for Opie. Nurse Amy said lots of fluid, lots of rest, quarantine if possible and he could take otc allergy & cold meds ( acetaminophen based) no nyquil!! If he's not better in a day or so antibiotics may be needed.
