10 years in the Valley comes to a close 🥹☄️

I’m excited to announce that I have accepted a new job with Banner Health as a Sr. Quality Safety & Infection Prevention Manger in Northern, AZ. 🏜️

After moving to Phoenix in 2013 to attend Grand Canyon University, I could have never guessed what was in store for me over the next decade.

I found myself lit up on the administrative side to healthcare. (talk to me about systems !! 🤤🤌🏼)

After gaining experience in primary care, home health & hospice, I’m excited to venture into the hospital setting.

I’m thrilled to step into this new role with the experience gained from previous roles & continue to grow my professional skillset. 🙏🏼

sound meditation can help prepare your brain for sleep by changing your brainwave patterns.

when we’re going through our normal, every day lives we’re operating at a Beta wavelength level.

During a sound bath meditation, the frequency slowly helps to slow the brainwave lengths down so you can slip into an Alpha state and then move into a deeper, Theta state.

Consistency was my kryptonite 😩

I used to think consistency meant you had to do something every. single. day. to see results.

In my head, this was the only way to get results – to do something intensely every day.

Specifically, I felt this intense internal pressure with strength training. I would set a goal to lift weights during the week and rest on the weekend.

When the goal was freshly set and new, it was easy to show up and put the work in. As time went on, I would quickly fall off the wagon and some weeks not even make it to lift 1x per week!

This left me feeling terrible about myself that I couldn’t set and achieve a goal even though I knew I was capable of SO much more.

It wasn’t until I gave myself permission to do less and inconsistently that I saw MORE results than ever.

After discovering Human Design, a part science, part spiritual system that tells you who you came here to be, it gave me permission to be inconsistent.

Based on my body graph chart, I’m supposed to be inconsistent with how I move through the world.

Giving myself permission to be inconsistent gave me confidence back + helped drive the results I was *truly* looking for.

After I gave up following the noise of the outside world that says, “consistency is the only way to see results” I finally got the results I was looking for myself and here’s how…
👉🏼 I gave up the need to be consistent and intense with ONE form of movement and instead gave myself permission to move my body in ways that felt good for me & brought me joy.

What changed? The need to stick to one style of workouts and instead incorporated variety of movement.

What stayed the same? (and actually improved) the days of consistent movement.

The shift? It now felt effortless.

The result? My strength has improved 10-fold, my mind feels calm & my body has leaned out.

Truly, I feel better than ever now that I’m working with the energetics of how I’m supposed to operate through this world.

Wake up & flow! Good vibing music to get your day started. This is a standard flow class and will be a little more mellow as we shake off the morning stiffness. Great for all levels.

🌃 Wednesday’s at 7pm - Restore & Sound Bath 🌃
A slow-paced style yoga with postures mostly done on the floor that are held for long periods of time. Restorative yoga applies gentle tension to the connective tissues such as the tendons, fascia and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation in the joins and improving flexibility and strength. The poses also improve the flow of prana (life force) to boost organ health, immunity, mental and emotional balance & well-being. Class is closed out with a dreamy sound bath meditation. Appropriate for all levels.

Ways to join us:
Drop-in: $20/per class

if you’re too busy to sit in meditation for 10 minutes… try this instead 👀

So your mind is busy and you’re struggling to sit down to meditate?

Here’s what I hear most often from my clients…

“I can’t meditate my mind never stops thinking”

“I don’t have time to meditate”

Here’s the kicker - meditation actually gives you more time (!!!)

Here’s how ⤵️

As you cultivate more awareness to begin to observe what’s going on in the mind to better understand what’s causing stress that you don’t have control over.

By slowing down and bringing awareness into your life, you’re able to begin to create change.

With awareness, you notice when your mind is going down a road, worried about something that happened yesterday or you’re trying to change something that’s out of your control.

You no longer waste time or energy entertaining those thoughts, you simply let them pass by without having to white knuckle your approach.

With less mental chatter happening, you free up space to spend time and energy on the things that you *actually* want and ultimately give yourself MORE time.

“begin & take messy action”

as we welcome in a new month, new opportunities are upon us. This intention came to me during a morning meditation session.

With the start of the astrological new year approaching, Aries season (begins March 20th) is a fire sign that LOVES to jump in without thinking twice - if it lights them up, they’ve energetically already said yes and started like yesterday.. (LOL)

It’s a great time to take action and begin working towards something that has been on your heart. Use this time as a catalyst to propel you forward into taking messy action.

Taking the first step is always the most difficult part. It takes the most energy to begin something new and go from not doing the thing to .1 !

During this time…
▫️Give yourself lots of grace as you begin these uncharted waters
▫️Know that you won’t have all of the answers (that’s the best part of the journey is discovering them all)
▫️Approach with a curious mind so you can set aside expections and see where it carries you.

All month long on the mat, we’re stepping outside our comfort zone & trying something new so we can step off the mat and have the confidence to do the same!

the easiest way to see success on the mat (and in real life)

If the hype of the new years resolutions has worn down but you’d still like to create positive change in your life, try this method… (I’ve been using it for 6 years!)

Ali here! Here’s my secret to staying consistent with my workout routine (but truly can be applied to any area of life!)

3 Tips to Transform How You Show Up in Life (and your workouts!) —

1️⃣ — Plan your week ahead and schedule it in a calendar.
Whether you’re using an old school planner or are a tech savvy hunni and solely use your Google Cal, block off the time for yourself & make it happen! If the time is already pre-reserved at the beginning of the week, it’s easier to commit to it vs. having to create time when the week gets busy!

2️⃣ — Pre book any classes / appointments that you can!
No only does this guarantee that you’ll get into the workout class or get the desired time slot you want for your appointment, subconsciously you’re also more likely to follow through and show as you’ve commit to the energy exchange.

3️⃣ — If it doesn’t bring you joy, try again until it does.
Whether you’ve been doing the same workouts for the last year or haven’t found your preferred way to sweat, there are too many options now a days that you shouldn’t dislike doing what you do. If you’re feeling a little “blah” or “meh” about your workouts at the moment, here’s a gentle nudge to push you to try something new, maybe you even phone a friend & have them join you!
