Treatment for substance use disorder is specific to each individual’s recovery journey. For some, the journey may include Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) which combines medication treatment with behavioral treatment, such as therapy, to overcome alcohol use disorder and opioid use disorder.

MAT has been shown to:
• Increase patient survival rates
• Increase treatment retention rates
• Decrease criminal activity related to opioid use and other drug use
• Increase patients’ abilities to gain or maintain employment.

What does kindness look like to you? Maybe it’s telling someone how grateful you are for their support. Or calling a friend just to chat. How about opening a door for a stranger at the coffee shop? Little acts of kindness help us connect with others and make us feel good. Get the ball rolling by doing a small act of kindness each day, starting today on World Kindness Day.

Maybe it’s time to show yourself kindness by asking for support – in recovery, with putting food on the table, in talking through some issues you’ve been having. Find the support that works for you on the free DELcovery app. Download today at link in bio / https://qrco.de/bfkVVc

Choose kindness. You never know what someone else is going through.
