Day 85 - Skip The Coffee Shop!

Ouch!

I know, that one hurts. But you 10 years from now will Thank You for this! Skipping the coffee shop on the way to work will cut down not just on spending - but also your calories. Coffee Shops aren't just coffee anymore, we also add on a muffin or extra whipcream or a cookie.

So cut out 80% of your coffee shop visits, and make your daily dose of java at home. Make trips to the coffee shop special treats instead of the daily routine.

Sometimes even when we are with people, we still feel alone. I have been “solitary” a big part of my life, but don’t usually feel “alone”. A lot of my work and life experiences were “on my own”. For example I lived in India for 10 years. I was never “alone” because in India there are always 1000’s of people everywhere. And I mean everywhere. There is nowhere to “alone” in India. But I certainly was “solitary”, usually being the only foreigner who couldn’t speak their language, and always “set apart” for food, sleep, pretty much everything. But alone isn’t the same as lonely, it’s just being alone. And in fact, I love being alone, in nature, with my art, watching rivers, and staring into space. I love the quiet and calm to concentrate on art, projects, writing, and all those “solitary” pursuits.
