RIP Dear Elizabeth Franz. The first cast member to pass, from my very first job. Brighton Beach Memoirs, a glimpse at this remarkable actress. She was nominated for best actress for our play. I was ignited by the incomparable talent of my cast mates and the entire company. When you rehearse for months, go on the road for a couple more and then are lucky enough open a hit play, sometimes you become like a real family. That was my experience. The last time I saw Elizabeth was outside of my Santa Monica apartment about 25 years ago. Love her forever. Read about her in the NTY obituary. Elizabeth is third from the right in this photo and young mandy on the left. Time. It goes by in the blink of an eye. What a lucky girl I am to have worked with, loved and known such a remarkable talent.

I came with them and their father to NYC in 1981 for a weekend for the first time.
