Hi Everyone
My idea of this page is to educate our children on how lucky we are to have such an amazing National Health Service. I’m sure that all our children have an idol be it a footballer, Music Icon, Dancer, Grand Prix Race driver or Superhero.
In this current situation our NHS is under a massive amount of pressure and we have the real Superhero’s working tirelessly to help stop the spread of COVID-19 as well as dealing with the day to day life as a medical professional.
How far this page goes, well I don’t know but what I do know is with the majority of the UK are on complete lockdown. We can still make a difference from home! In recent news our NHS needs 250,000 volunteers. Some would love to dedicate time to help in whatever way they can but have to prioritise their commitments now such as child care and helping with vulnerable family members.
So here’s my idea …
Lets all sit with our Children for just ten minutes and explain to them how the healthcare system works. I know many children won’t be old enough to understand but lets enlighten them in simple terms to give them a feel for just how lucky we really are. Once they understand we ask them to create a Thank-you poster to all our doctors/Nurses/Pharmacists and other medical professionals and then post their poster with their name/age and where you are from with a very small donation of just £1 per child to the Just Giving Page to show our appreciation.
This Is something creative whilst our children are of school, it educates and instills within our children to be kind showing them that just a small donation can go a very long way.
