Hello friends.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It feels good to finally launch this small heart-project into space. My roots with story medicine run deep into my ancestry. I watched my grandparents work with the land together with the neighborhood, hire each other, sing over their people through worship, and serve their communities with their whole bodies.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I aim to do the same. And some.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My father, a devout musician, and arguably a story medicine priest in his own right, taught me a lot about what it means to move a room with your whole song and form.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My mother was moved inexplicably by blossoms, growing zinnias and dahlias that towered over my 10 year old body; moonflowers and morning glories that held their own fragrant sensitivities. I, too, was captivated by their magic.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Flower, sound, sacred devotion. I was raised to know these things.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It wasn’t until 2020, that I felt especially drawn to really work with flower essences, receiving the wisdom of Datura and Mimosa, Lemon Balm and Fever Few.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was introduced to these through Kat Itz from Big Bright Circle. I doubt she knows the true impact these flowers had on my world. They revolutionized me in the sweetest, most powerful, most subtle way.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I kept following the calling. I kept listening in. They lead me here over time. Invited me to explore a micro apothecary called “Wildboy” that supports creative spirits.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And it was terrifying to yes. I admit. But with the help of Sunflower, Yarrow, Wild Magic, Mimulus, and Red Bee Balm, I finally feel ready to share in small increments over time what the flowers mean to me and how I’m integrating their magic on the daily.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you for being here.
