🌍 A breakthrough moment for addiction recovery in Nigeria!

On International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, we eventually achieved a milestone: the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has officially adopted our SMART Recovery model Nigeria.

Yesterday marked the completion of comprehensive training for Drug Demand Reduction officers across all 13 state commands in Lagos. This isn’t just training—it’s the foundation for transforming how Nigeria approaches addiction recovery.

This adoption represents a paradigm shift toward evidence-based addiction treatment and recovery, directly aligning with this year’s global theme. We’re not just changing policies; we’re changing lives and empowering entire communities to break the cycle of addiction.

None of this would be possible without our exceptional team led by Dr. Honest Anaba.

Together, we’re proving that when expertise meets passion, real change happens.
This is just the beginning. Every officer trained, every life touched, every community empowered brings us closer to a Nigeria free from the grip of addiction.

Yesterday marked the completion of a comprehensive training for Drug Demand Reduction officers across all 13 state commands in Lagos. This wasn't just a training but a foundation for transforming how the No. 1 governmental substance use agency approaches addiction recovery.

We're not just changing the status quo, we are shifting paradigms to evidence-based practices, empowering entire communities to break the cycle of addiction.

🌟 Breaking Ground in Nigerian Healthcare: Bridging the Gap in Addiction Treatment

Thrilled to share a transformative initiative, where our team partnered in the recently concluded intensive SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment) certification program on the 14th - 15th of January 2025.

💡 Why this matters:
The main focus was on culturally adapting proven global addiction care protocols to the frontlines of community health.

For the first time, we're integrating substance use screening directly into primary care settings, making early intervention accessible to millions of Lagos residents.
