More than 400 participants came together to advocate for mental health at the 4th Negros Occidental Mental Health Summit, an annual initiative that unites mental health advocates to advance mental health in the region. The event was organized in collaboration with the White Coat Psychological Clinic, Lasallian Association of Mental Health Practitioners, USLS GEC Bridge-Peer Facilitators, USLS Psychological Society, USLS College of Medicineโs TAMBAL, and the Philippine Red Cross.
Held on October 18, 2025, at the Santuario de La Salle, University of St. La SalleโBacolod, the summit centered on the theme โPositibo nga Sikolohiya: Gabay sa Pag-angot sa Nagabag-o nga Tiempo.โ It brought together a diverse group of participants, including students and organizations from Kabankalan Catholic College, Inc. (KCC), such as the Science and Arts Majors Advancing Humanization in All Nations (SAMAHAN) Club, the High School and College Peer Mentor Clubs, and selected students from the Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BS Psychology) program, as well as representatives from the Counseling and Testing Office (CTO) Gerard R. Trinidad, LPT, RPm, School Psychometrician, Roy B. Javilla, CHRA, RPm, College Peer Mentor Club Adviser, Mia Chriselle V. Ga, LPT, High School Peer Mentor Club Adviser, and Ms. Divine Grace O. Obispo.
These groups collaborated in discussions and activities focused on promoting mental well-being, as part of ongoing efforts to foster a supportive environment for mental health awareness across the region.
