5 Things you need to leave in 2020…

😒30-DAY WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGES
I hate to break it to you but it takes longer than 30 days to learn how to lose weight safely and sustainably. When it comes to successful, long-term weight loss, it takes time. This is why all of my programs require a minimum 3 month commitment.

📸BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS
Ever wonder why I don’t post before and after photos of my clients? They only show the physical difference between two moments in time, not the true transformation. There’s also the false sense of finality they depict that I disagree with. Your health journey is ever evolving, which is why I recommend taking ongoing progress photos instead.

🙅🏾‍♀️EATING LESS THAN 1200 CALORIES A DAY
Please. Just. Stop. Your body needs energy (a.k.a. calories) to burn fat. Eating 1200 calories or less a day isn’t the secret to fat loss. It’s likely that you need to be eating a lot more than you think to reach your fitness goals. If you’re not sure how to figure that out, DM me and I’ll help you out!

💊RELYING ON SUPPLEMENTS FOR RESULTS
Despite popular belief, supplements aren’t magic pills. You can take all the supplements in the world, but if you don’t have a healthy relationship with food that supports your goals then you’re just wasting your money.

🌱PRIORITIZING WEIGHT LOSS OVER YOUR HEALTH
If you want to lose weight, I’m not here to stop you but it should NEVER be at the expense of your health. There’s a healthy way to lose weight. Trust me, restrictive diets, fat burners, and excessive cardio aren’t it.

If you’re tired of doing all the things and not seeing results, you need to make these changes ASAP!

👟 Stop doing hours of cardio and start strength training with weights 3 days a week. Not only is strength training great for your overall health but it also allows you to build lean muscle mass.

🍪 Stop eating intuitively and start eating intentionally to support your goals with your nutrition. I’m all for intuitive eating but it’s not effective when you’re working towards a specific fitness goal. If you want to lose fat you need to be in a caloric deficit.

🧠 Stop relying on motivation and start focusing on your why. Sustainable results take time so you have to be committed to playing the long game. This means putting in the work, even when you don’t feel like it.

Now knowing what to change is one thing, but implementing those changes is another.
