The countdown is on… First Day Hikes are TOMORROW! 🥾❄️
On January 1, 2026, Kansas State Parks across the state will be hosting First Day Hikes, guided and self-guided walks that are family-friendly, a great reset after the holidays, and an easy way to start the new year outside. (Kansas Outdoors)

Some hikes are short and easy, others a bit longer, and many offer chances to see winter wildlife, lake views, and prairie scenery. All the details (times, trails, meeting spots, and park contacts) are listed on our First Day Hikes page.

Dress for the weather, bring water, and kick off 2026 on the trail.

HRC notice!! indoor pickle ball season is here - Monday - Thursday during school 7am-3pm you can reserve a time - Sunday nights 5pm-8pm - must stop by Rec to reserve your time !!! We have the equipment for indoors !!!

This fundraiser is to help support Hugoton student -athletes for the 2025-2026 sports year. This 5k event will take place on November 15th, 2025.
