Your Daily Skincare Routine – A Doctor’s Perspective:👩🏼⚕️🚿🧴
As an aesthetics doctor, I remind my patients that in-practice treatments work BEST when paired with a consistent daily skincare routine.💉🧴
Here’s a simple step wise routine to follow:
1️⃣ Cleanse (AM + PM) – Wash away impurities, oil, makeup and daily pollution.
2️⃣ Serum (AM + PM)
AM: Choose a serum with anti-oxidant properties e.g. Vitamin C to protect and brighten. 👨🏻✈️🤩
PM: Opt for a hydrating serum e.g. hyaluronic acid or peptides to support renewal.
3️⃣ Moisturise (AM + PM) – Hydration is essential for all skin types.
AM: Use a lightweight formula.
PM: Use a richer, nourishing cream.😴
4️⃣ Sunscreen (AM only) – Your most powerful anti-aging product!Apply a broad-spectrum SPF EVERY single morning, even on cloudy days.🌞
5️⃣ Retinoids (PM only) – Retinol or prescription-strength retinoids encourage cell turnover, refine texture, boost collagen and helps with pigmentation.🌙✨
*Introduce gradually and always use SPF during the day, as skin becomes more sensitive to the sun.
