🌟 Life for men over 30, especially dads, often comes with unique challenges.

👨‍👧‍👦 Balancing personal life, professional responsibilities, and family obligations can be daunting.

💪 The pressures of being a provider and a role model for their kids can feel overwhelming. Many men find themselves battling low energy levels, feeling like they are failing to be the active and engaged fathers they aspire to be.

🕒 As responsibilities pile up, time slips away, leaving little room for self-care. Amidst all this, health often takes a backseat, leading to unintended consequences like weight gain and the development of a “dad bod.”

🤔 “Who the f**k is this guy?”

Whenever I look back, I often find myself saying this.

🤷‍♂️ Because I can’t relate to that person anymore.

😴 I can’t relate to the laziness.

🎉 I can’t relate to partying as stress coping mechanisms.

😴 I can’t relate to the extra long sleeping hours.

😡 I can’t relate to the irritability and the victim mindset.

It seems like another life tbh.

🏋️‍♂️ Transformation is not about the body fat or a double chin going away.

🔄 It’s the repetitive poor choices that are keeping you stuck, going away.

😈 It’s slow toxicity disguised as pleasure which goes away.

💀 It’s the fixed-minded parts of you that die during your transformation.

🛠️ It’s the character that is forged from toil, tears, and dedication.

Here is the secret. For a sustainable transformation, you have to hate the identity that kept you stuck.

😖 If your current looks put you at severe discomfort every day, that’s so damn good.

💪 Work towards building habits and rituals for an identity that you want to build.

👤 The identity that you admire right now, become that person day after day by making better choices.

🤯 Become so good that you hate your old version . Be obsessed if you have to at times.

💩I made a mistake !

So much has been written and said , even I have said it in the past months that starting now is absolutely essential for you to build a lasting and sustainable change for the new year 2024 when it comes to your health and fitness. I still standby it.

However , I forgot to mention one very important thing . This is also where you have time on your hands. Utilise it to reflect upon your year, connect with loved ones, unwind and be ready for the coming year.

As we enter in the last week of 2023 , don’t forget to practice rest in whatever form suitable to you. Physical , mental , sensory , creative, emotional and/or spiritual.

Rest and get a bird’s eye view of whatever has been happening with you so far. To move ahead , at times you need to get out of your own head.

Forgive, journal, dance ,sing, move in the nature. Get a massage , practice meditation, stay present . Pat yourself for the hard work you have been putting in.

Moving forward, set intentions for the coming year 2024 as to what you want to become in the coming year.

Don’t forget, Rest is as important as putting in the reps.
