IT’S HERE. 🎉 Introducing the SensorySmart App!

After years of working with sensory kiddos and their incredible parents, I saw a huge gap. Families were overwhelmed with information, unsure how to help their child, and exhausted trying to piece it all together.

So I created the solution I wished existed.

✅ Get a personalized sensory profile
✅ Discover targeted strategies that actually work
✅ Feel more confident every day
✅ All in the palm of your hand

💛 Whether your child is a sensory seeker, avoider, or something in between — this app meets them where they are.

As parents, we want our kids to thrive—and it starts with what’s on their plate. The more variety of whole foods we offer, the more diverse their gut microbiome becomes. A healthy gut supports mood, focus, immunity, and digestion. Think of food as medicine—simple, colorful, and powerful! 🌈🥦🧠

How do you incorporate a variety of foods into your child’s meals? Do you find it easy or a daily challenge? Let’s support each other—share below!

Happy Mother’s Day to the incredible moms walking the therapy journey with their children.

You are the advocate at every appointment, the cheerleader during every milestone, and the calm in the chaos of sensory meltdowns and therapy schedules. You celebrate the small wins that others might overlook—buttoning a shirt, trying a new food, making it through a noisy store.

Your strength is quiet but mighty.
Your love is patient and persistent.
Your hope lights the way, even on the hardest days.

Today, we celebrate YOU—the warrior, the nurturer, the constant in your child’s world. Your presence and perseverance are shaping a brighter future, one brave step at a time.

You are doing an amazing job.
And today, you deserve to be celebrated, deeply and fully.

Happy Mother’s Day—you are seen, loved, and appreciated.

Picky eating can be frustrating—but simple shifts at home can make a big difference. Research shows that when children are involved in cooking, they’re more open to trying new foods and developing healthier eating habits.

What does the research say? Here are some quick stats: 🧐

🟢76% of kids tried new vegetables when they helped prepare them (Appetite, 2020)

🔴Kids who cook eat 1.5 more servings of fruits & veggies a day (JNEB, 2011)

🟣Picky eating behaviors drop by 25% when parents cook with their child once a week (CJDR, 2017)

🔵Cooking reduces fear of new foods (Appetite76% of kids tried new vegetables when they helped prepare them (Appetite, 2020)

If letting them cook with you seems overwhelming, here are some simple ways you can have them be involved

1. Let them wash veggies or stir ingredients.

2. Pick a new recipe together each week.

3. Give them a “job” (mixing, measuring, or taste-testing).

⭐️Start small—even 10 minutes in the kitchen makes a difference!

You don’t need to be a gourmet chef to make a big impact. 🧑‍🍳The goal isn’t perfection—it’s connection. Cooking together is a fun, research-backed way to help your child become more adventurous and confident around food.

Tell me what your favorite things are to cook with your child?! ⬇️

The question any breastfeeding mama who is going back to work or that wants to go on date nights without having to bring the baby.

Trying the bottle between 3-4 weeks seems to be the sweet spot for most babies. No longer than 6-8 weeks or baby can often refuse a bottle and get used to breastfeeding.

What have your experiences been? When did you introduce a bottle? Did your baby refuse a bottle?

Oh the dreaded Food Jags. Restrictive eaters often have food jags and will want the same food every meal and prepared the same way every time.

If you notice your kid is in a food jag, talk to your pediatrician about getting a referral for an occupational or speech therapist that specializes in feeding!

👶Tummy Time 👶

According to the American Association of Pediatrics, by 7 weeks your baby should be spending up to 15-30 minutes in tummy time (all can be broken up throughout the day!)

Tummy time is often a dreaded activity for many moms. Their babies don’t like it and they don’t like watching them cry!

When tummy time is adapted, babies like tummy time and it doesn’t have to be a dreaded activity! Here are three ways to adapt tummy time to help your baby meet their milestones. I have more info on my stories listed under tummy time!
