Every moment of every day, we are making a decision.

May it be conscious, or unconscious.

The Latin root of the word decision is ‘decidere’

De = Off

Caedere = Cut.

Meaning, that every decision we make leads us into a direction of new opportunities;

resulting in the sub-sequential ‘cutting off’ others.

This is neither bad, nor good.

It simply just is.

The vast majority of the daily decisions we make,

are unconscious.

Actually,

approximately 90% of our daily choices,

are unconscious.

Meaning that 90% of our life,

has been unconsciously chosen.

And when we finally snap into reality and realize see what is before us,

we often fail to accept responsibility that this is the life we have created.

The Universe is friendly.

The Universe wants to support you.

Stepping into a mindset of conscious awareness,

observing the inner narrative,

will allow you to see that you are infact,

in control.

Pain & pleasure ; an inextricable love story.

Our society was frivolously trained to seek out immediate gratification.

To search for the BEST thing that will bring us the MOST happiness.

We are constantly navigating the waters of ‘feel good’ pleasure, instinctually moving away from pain.

In attempts to avoid pain at all cost, many of us subconsciously attempt to ‘control’ or ‘manipulate’ reality.

Inevitably, this manipulation tactic will fail, resulting in the most deadly illusion of all…

… distortion of reality.

We alter our inner narrative in attempts to ‘understand’ our experience based on our own personal values, beliefs, personal opinions & history,

resulting in a severe disconnect from reality.

Everything we see, think and feel becomes based on what we CHOOSE to believe, as opposed to what actually is.

When we truly comprehend that we as the INDIVIDUAL are in complete control of how we view our reality, we begin to blend into life’s natural ebb & flow.

Life begins to happen for you.

Without comprehension of pain, we would not actively seek out pleasure.

Without evil, we would not understand goodness.

Without darkness, we would not value the light.

3 anti-anxiety tips YOU DO NOT want to miss 🧿



We cannot run away from stress.

We cannot hide from stress.

However we can control how our mind + body responds to stress.



Stress is stress to the brain, and will react to all styles of stress in the same way.

Your body will chemically react to the stress of an unforeseen pimple in the EXACT SAME WAY that it would if it was being chased by a tiger…

…the stress hormone is released, shifting the body out of balance and into its ‘survival’ state.

The mind is quite capable of amplifying the stress of a situation beyond reality,

which is why it is so so important to work on gaining control of the mental chatter.



When stressed, the body instinctively shuts off any mechanism that isn't necessary for immediate survival when stressed.

→ Your logical ‘thinking’ brain? Not needed. This is why we become so emotionally reactive during a heated argument.

→ Your immunity? Not needed.This is why we fall ill when stressed.

→ Your metabolism? Not needed. This is why weight gain is a common side effect of stress.

The list goes on.



HERE ARE MY TOP 3 ANTI-ANXIETY TOOLS:

1️⃣ Cold water therapy

This shocks your nervous system, forcing you to remain calm during a high stress situation. Finish each shower with 30-60 seconds of cold water.

2️⃣ Breathwork.

Deep breathing is very soothing to the nervous system, reducing anxiety.

Set 3 alarms for yourself, morning + noon + night. When the alarm goes off, stop everything. Take 3 deep, delicious breaths.

3️⃣ Reduce refined sugar, alcohol & caffeine.

These substances can be overly-stimulating, leading to hyperreactivity (AKA anxiety).

3 ways eliminate bloat and satisfy hunger cravings...TODAY 🥑

These symptoms are far too familiar for our liking...

It’s almost as if simply LOOKING at a piece of bread will blow you up bigger than the blueberry girl from W***y Wonka.

Implement the following 3 protips & watch that belly bloat fluff itself away:

1️⃣ Soluble fiber vs Insoluble fiber.

→ Insoluble fiber DOES NOT absorb water, acting like a ‘broom’ within the intestines. Insoluble fiber is difficult for the body to fully break down, so it sweeps throughout the digestive system, ensuring everything is moving efficiently. Incorporate more insoluble fiber into your diet when you experience constipation.

Some examples include, leafy greens, bell peppers, apples, and carrots.

→ Soluble fiber ABSORBS water, bulking up the stool so it is easier to pass. Incorporate more soluble fiber into your diet when you experience watery stools OR if you are expecting an increase in physical activity the following day.

Some examples include steel cut oats, potatoes, sprouted grains and legumes.

Water keeps the digestive system clean & moving with ease, reducing toxin accumulation & improving nutrient absorption. Aim for 1 glass of water every hour, equating to 2L of water per day (minimum)

3️⃣ Supplement Magnesium

Magnesium reduces water weight & belly bloat by pulling excess water into the digestive system, reducing lethargy & making stool more easy to pass.

“What other people think of you is none of your business!

You should never look outside yourself for acceptance or validation, because it sends the message that you don’t trust your own soul’s worth.

When you are in a space of self-acceptance, you confirm to the Universe that you are everything you are meant to be,

foibles and all.

In this awareness, you are able to live freely & joyfully,

because you are not seeking validification through someone or something else.

You can live your life and make choices out of love, instead of fear.

To enter this space, you must realize that your soul’s makeup is Divinely perfect.

The limitations you’ve placed on yourself and your self criticisms are usually based on giving your power to another,

or seeking outside approval.

The ego is judgemental and critical and filled with insecurities,

The health & wellness industry manipulates you into purchasing their fad product(s) by selling you your dream.

Gaining control of the mind gives us limitless powers,

Losing control of the mind keeps us hostage to our own self-imposed limitations.

Our minds are programmed to wander.

Darting from stimulation to stimulation

Creating thoughts in response to the stimuli,

And emotions in response to the thoughts.


Often times, we create thoughts that are distinctly separate from our reality,

Creating stories that fit our inner narrative.

“This person doesn’t like me because x + y + z.”

“I didn’t get what I wanted because x + y + z.”

“This is happening to me because x + y + z.”


We get so caught up in this inner narrative, that we become completely detached from the true reality that surrounds us.

We begin to believe that life is happening to us.

When really, life is happening for us.


Meditation is one of the first steps to gaining control of the mind.

Meditation doesn’t have to be boring, restrictive or 2-dimensional.

Every mind is different, and it takes lots of trial & error to understand what works best for you.

🌻 Implement the following 5 meditation tips, and witness your mind transform:

1️⃣ Start off small

Underpromise, over deliver. Set yourself up for success by easing yourself in slowly. Start off with 5 minutes.

2️⃣ Be patient & open to what arises

The mind loves to be in control, and when YOU step in as the operator, your mind will retaliate. You may experience irritation & self-doubt. Try not to make these sensations mean anything. Simply witness them pass, like clouds floating through the sky.

3️⃣ Stimulate your senses

Set up your environment to support your meditation. Essential oils, beads & calming music will reduce distractions.

4️⃣ Focus on an affirmation

The mind can only focus on 1 thing at a time. An affirmation is a mantra that is repeated, bringing the mind back into focus.

My current favourite : I am present.

5️⃣ Breathe

Deep inhalations & long exhalations soothe the nervous system. The most effective way to come back to the present moment, is through the breath.

I, too, avoided the inevitable for quite some time.

“I can do it myself. The answers are out there, I just have to find them.”

This is very true, you CAN do it yourself.

However, ɪɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴀʟᴏɴᴇ ᴡɪʟʟ ɴᴏᴛ ɢʀᴀɴᴛ ʀᴇsᴜʟᴛs.

In this day and age, we have every answer to every question available at our fingertips…

… so what’s stopping you from achieving your goals?
