Finally did my first 10 kms X 10 running streak today!
✓ Started on 1st Dec with net time of around 66 mins and closed today in around 68 mins. On average could ran most of the days under 70 mins. My PB for 10 kms is 58:33.
✓ 3 days had to run in rain. Running in rain is more fun, water falling on head cools things down, only we have to careful of the route and the water logging.
✓ 2 days ran in my appartment complex around 400 mts loop. Running 25 loops is more challenging than running on a long route. These were my slowest runs too. Also small loops confuses the gps in my Garmin 😊
✓ First three 10 kms were easy, but from 4th onwards, first 5 kms was though to negotiate with!. I think once you pass the mental barrier of half the distance, it becomes easy in running streaks
✓ Had to do very intense recovery in last 5 iterations.. heat and roller message helps in relaxing sour muscles. Good long sleep is the key too.
✓ Wore my 10 different coloured running t-shirts!. The collage below shows what am today and what I was few years back when I not even liked to walk 😂
✓ Normally I prefer to hear my running songs playlist when I run. But for this streak I tried hearing 10+ hr audio book on the topic which I like most (Look Up). The pale blue dot from Carl Sagan! Excellent masterpieces to listen! Try it!
✓ Running helped me to become fit and improved fitness helped me to run my first 10X10 streak today! So give a try yo running 😊, it's the cheapest therapy!
