✨Teriyaki Shrimp Stir Fry Recipe✨
✨Ingredients✨
👉🏽2 T olive oil
👉🏽3/4 c onion, large
👉🏽1/2 c red bell pepper, large
👉🏽1/2 c green bell pepper, large
👉🏽1/2 c cherry tomato, sliced
👉🏽1/2 c green beans, half’s
👉🏽1/2 c shredded carrots
👉🏽1/2 c green onions, diced
👉🏽old bay seasoning hot to taste
👉🏽black pepper to taste
👉🏽slap ya mama to taste
👉🏽garlic powder with parsley to taste
👉🏽minced garlic to taste
👉🏽ground cayenne pepper, omit if not a fan of spicy
👉🏽3/4 c teriyaki marinade
👉🏽41/2 c raw shrimp, deveined
✨Directions✨
👉🏽HEAT non-stick skillet on high heat until skillet is hot.
👉🏽ADD 2 t of olive oil.
👉🏽SAUTÉ onions, red and green bell peppers, and green beans for about 2-3 minutes or til your liking.
👉🏽ADD tomato, carrots, and green onion; cook about 2 more minutes.
👉🏽REMOVE vegetables.
👉🏽ADD teriyaki marinade.
👉🏽ADD shrimp.
👉🏽ADD seasonings and cook shrimp for 1-3 minutes.
👉🏽ADD veggies back and stir.
👉🏽ADD more teriyaki marinade if necessary!
👉🏽SERVE with white rice or noodles. Optional!

There is nothing like not having to cook for at least 2-3 days. This week we are having steak 🥩 and chicken 🍗 for our protein. Carrots 🥕broccoli 🥦 and sweet potatoes 🍠 for our vegetables. Our grains, fruit, and dairy are included on the sides. How has your diet been lately? Have you noticed anything different since the start of the pandemic? How about excessive eating? This is normal, and now with COVID-19 this is amplified. Making sure we meet our dietary requirements for many vitamins and minerals is important for good health and normal immune functioning.

3 ways to maintain a healthy diet are:
🍎Eat a variety of foods within each food group. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables because they provide lots of vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
🍎Consume whole grains, nuts, and healthy fats such as olive, sunflower, sesame, groundnut or other oils rich in unsaturated fatty acids.This will help support the immune system and help to reduce inflammation.
🍎Drink water regularly. Staying well hydrated, mainly through drinking ample amounts of plain water (6-8 glasses a day for most adults) also helps our immune system. Drinking plain water instead of sugar-sweetened beverages, also helps reduce the risk of consuming too many calories for maintaining a healthy weight.
