13.7.15

The week in SERIOUSLY GOOD FOOD.

1. Courgette, almond, orange and EVOO cake - with a maple and orange cream cheese icing. Recipe will go out on my mailing list this week as about 1999 of you have asked for it! If you’d like it - sign-up in my bio.
2. The abundance of Summer harvest. 💚 The said glut of courgettes making their way in to every dish possible. It doesn’t get fresher or more wholesome than this.
3. Nature, Naturing - Organic Radishes the size of golf balls.
4. Goose fat-fried Pommes Paille. These should be illegal. (Gluttony at its best) 🤤
5. Enormous gently-poached king prawns to eat alongside said pommes paille, slathered in a lemon emulsion that was lip smacking good I almost spooned it in. (Half were eaten in the peeling process 😋)
6. The sole remaining evidence of A very good pistachio-cream cookie (I surrendered to the hype..)
7. COW. 1/2 kilo of Pasture-fed, well hung, exceptionally good steak finished with a beurre rouge. SO SO GOOD.

It’s been a good week for my tum.
It’s been a good week for my taste-buds.
It’s been a good week for me.

I know a lot of you are goodies - who’d like to see more of my goodie content on here?

It’ll certainly make you salty 🔥

Spicy mini series for posterior chain: glutes, hamstrings, shoulders and stability. 🌶️

Do 8-12 reps
2-3 x sets

Use this little series snack to help fire-up that generally, under-activated back line of the body.

You can do it weighted or unweighted.
I chose a 3kg weight, but you could use nothing to gain control and form first before adding load, or even use a small physio ball to hold behind your knee.

Points to be mindful of:
- move with control not momentum.
- imagine you’re living the rounded part of the back of your head up in to a plank of wood.
- wrists under shoulders, knees under hips.
- ensure you initiate the movement from the glute, not from the low back
- gently hug everything inbetween your two front hip-points towards the midline and draw your ribs down and in.
- don’t let your shoulder slide up towards your ear, keep the shoulder blade(s) hugged on the back ribs where they’re most happy.

It’s the little gestures that mean the most. 🥹
A little Monday morning reminder that slid into my WA’s from my queen this morning… 💕

(And apparently the universe telling me it’s something I need to hear… because it’s come from two different people in the last 3 days!)

So I’m sharing it on incase you also need to hear it.

Our society doesn’t really reward patience. It’s seems to only reward “busy” instead.

What we often forget is that just because something isn’t happening “now”, doesn’t mean that you’re not preparing yourself for it for when it does finally happen.

It doesn’t mean that your efforts that you’re putting in are worthless or wasted.

It doesn’t mean that you’re not on the right path or making the right moves.

It just means you’re not ready “yet”.

Trust that what is meant for you is coming.
Trust the process.
Trust that the plan is working for you, not against you, in all areas of your life.
You just can’t see it yet.
But keep the hope. Keep trusting. Keep open. And keep giving freely, loving hard and don’t harden to the world when it seems to deal you a rough hand.

It’s all feeding in to to get you to exactly where you need to be.
Trust it.
It’s all happening for a reason.

Ps..and make sure you hold on to great people when they find you. Those who make you feel seen, heard, loved, supported and respected. They’re rare as rocking horse sh*t to find..
So hold them very very tight and let them know how much you appreciate them. It’s so easy to think but how often do you say it?
( that’s for you girl. 😘)

Big love,
T x

“We be farming” 🥰

Earlier when we were out with the doggos on the farm together, This moment struck me.
Hard.
It filled me with a sudden and immense reverence and almost uncontainable gratitude.
I had to capture it.
To remind myself of its beauty.
Beauty in its simplicity.
Beauty in my heart wanting to explode at how lucky I am.
Beauty of seeing and being seen.
Beauty of celebrating Mumma.
In all her quirky, and endearing uniqueness.
And being so grateful that she is.

Words don’t even cut it how much I love this human.

Spend the time. You never know when it might be so cruelly cut short.
❤️❤️❤️
