Faeth Therapeutics Unlocking the power of metabolism to treat cancer.

30/06/2025

As June’s Uterine Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, Faeth Therapeutics recognizes that this isn’t the end of the mission; it’s the beginning.

Here’s how you can advocate for yourself and others all year long:

🧠 Know your body and document symptoms like abnormal bleeding, pain, or weight changes
📚 Learn your family health history and talk about it
👩‍⚕️ Visit your gynecologist regularly and push for answers if something feels off

The movement is driven by community outreach, efforts to close racial disparities in care, and campaigns like that bring uterine cancer out of the shadows.

Help Faeth keep pushing forward.

🚨 Endometrial cancer incidence and mortality have risen over the past decade.

Faeth Therapeutics is working to change this through metabolic science. Per our CSO Dr. Oliver Maddocks, “Endometrial cancer is a metabolic tumor type—it’s heavily influenced by pathways like PI3K/AKT/mTOR.”

Faeth’s research, featured in Inside Precision Medicine, offers new insights into how dietary intervention, multi-node PI3K pathway inhibition, and chemotherapy could reshape treatment for this overlooked cancer.

“We’re integrating science and strategy in a way that’s never been done before.” - Dr. Oliver Maddocks, CSO.

Understanding risk factors for uterine cancer can lead to earlier detection and save lives.

The most common risk factor? Excess body weight.

Extra fat increases estrogen, which can overstimulate the uterus and raise cancer risk.

Other key risk factors:
• Age 50+
• Type 2 diabetes
• PCOS or endometrial hyperplasia
• Estrogen-only HRT or tamoxifen
• Early menstruation or late menopause
• Lynch syndrome
• Family history

Do you know the symptoms of uterine cancer? Most people don’t, and that can delay diagnosis.

The most common warning sign is abnormal bleeding, especially after menopause. Others include:

• Pelvic or abdominal pain
• Pain during urination or s*x
• Blood in urine or stool
• Unexpected weight loss
• Abnormal Pap results

While these symptoms may also be caused by less serious conditions, it's essential to speak with your doctor if they persist, especially if you’re postmenopausal or at higher risk.

🧠 Did you know?

Uterine cancer is now the 6th most common cancer in women worldwide. Over the last 30 years, cases have surged. Experts expect a 50% global increase by 2044.

Most cases are endometrial cancer, which starts in the lining of the uterus. While early-stage uterine cancer is often curable, disparities in access to care mean not all women are diagnosed in time.

Uterine cancer doesn’t just affect one demographic; it affects women across all backgrounds. Black women and those in underserved communities face higher mortality rates.

Awareness and early detection are key. This June, Faeth is joining IGCS.org to help shine a light on for .

Meet Therapeutics, which is developing a new way for patients to fight back against cancer. Based on the idea of precision nutrition, Faeth creates personalized meals for patients that starve tumors of the nutrients they need to survive. The Faeth meals are built on research from leading scientists in the U.S. and UK that identified specific nutrients that tumors rely on to resist treatments and grow.

Right now, Faeth is enrolling patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer in trial sites across the U.S. to help give patients the best fighting chance against cancer. They also offer remote access so patients from anywhere in the U.S. can apply to be part of the trial.
