It’s been a long while since I checked in guys, and I’m sorry. Today I’m having a down day. If anyone has any cheerful news, pictures or anything like that, I’d really appreciate it!

Well here’s November. Generally one of my favourite months. This year it’s slightly less joyful because of lockdown, and because my health is at an all time low. Of course that has a knock on effect on my mental health and my anxiety is pretty bad.

However, I believe that we are all in this is together, and no matter how I’m feeling- I fully want to be there for anyone who needs a friend. I can be a friend no matter who you are!

Sending warmth in the cold weather 🤗

Good evening everyone!

It’s been a while. Unfortunately I’ve had a struggle with my mental health recently, and haven’t got the energy for a big one tonight, but I wanted to share these lovely calming podcasts on Spotify with you all.
I use them to calm down, but they’re also great for sleep.

Today I’m doing one about courage, and since I have to go for an MRI scan on my own tomorrow, and it’s terrifying, I could certainly use the courage 🤦‍♀️

To all my friends with kids of age 3 and above ( probably best to be below 8 or 9 for the sake of them feeling engaged). I’m thinking of starting a free zoom/teams/Skype weekly group where we can do reading, talking about feelings, show and tells, quizzes and themed weeks, nursery rhymes and songs (maybe virtual parties and games too). You’re welcome to going if your child is younger or older if you think they’ll benefit, I’m trying to register interest so please select below if you’d be interested in participating! Don’t worry, I’ll do all the prep and work!

Please comment or message me to let me know! Thanks!

It’s world mental health day today.
As I lay in a beautiful room with a wonderful man, a mother of two beautiful children, and a person who is working towards her dreams, two thoughts cross my mind;
1: I’m so incredibly lucky
2: it hasn’t always been this way.
When I was a teenager, between one day and the next, a black cloud rolled over me. And god it rained. I didn’t know it was depression, but I was sad, I was overeating, self loathing and always so tired. I didn’t have the energy to go out and do. I couldn’t foresee anything ever making me really love life.
Over the course of time, depression was joined in the control centre that is my mind, by anxiety and PTSD. I’ve had therapy, I’ve taken tablets, and I have the most supportive network I can imagine.... and most days I’m happy and life is beautiful.
But less than a year ago, I desperately reached out to an online group of people who I didn’t know, and told them that I felt suicidal. And I meant it.
‘I wouldn’t actually do it, but the thoughts scare me’, I said.
Someone told my brother out of concern.
My brother and my mum were really upset, and I resolved to get myself out of the dark.
Today, most says are good, and those that aren’t, I face with resolve.

Not everyone has made it through the darkness, and not everyone is surrounded by guardian angels, so to those people I say; let me be there for you. Let me pay it forward.

I’m always here, so this , and any other day, speak to me! speak to someone, anyone. But don’t face mental illness alone!

Hi Everyone!

Due to being super busy with uni and work and kids, I don't get as much time to be engaging and offer support on here as I'd like.

Therefore, if anyone thinks they may have something to offer to the group and would like to be a moderator to be there for people who need the support, or to share content- please let me know, either on the comments or messages, through here or to my personal facebook.

Of course it does go without saying that people can still reach out to me anytime though!

🤦‍♀️ so, Princess Alexandra Hospital in Essex have issued an apology for listing LGBT as a mental disorder.

What on Earth is going on for a hospital to ever state that le***an, gay, tr*******al and bisexual people are mentally unwell just for identifying as such in the first place?! 🙄

Here’s some of the things that I’ve personally found the most therapeutic and helpful in dealing with mental illness. I hope someone else finds them helpful too!

Hey Friends,
Just a friendly reminder that all of us are here whenever an ear is needed.
Also would like to explain my views on life, my view is that its a journey. A very slow journey of betterment of the soul. Every lifetime we learn a new virtue, whether it be patience, kindness or honesty. Also if we are bad to other people we owe them a soul debt, which could be repayed by kindness throughout other lifetimes.Once I had learnt this idea of betterment and soul debt it made me look at life differently. That we should all be kind to one another, friendly, honest and patient. No matter who you are dealing with, and during this process the world seems lighter and the future is brighter. Just some food for thought, written during a caffeine induced state 😂 l

Hellooo (:

So, as someone with a huge interest in psychology, and someone who has several mental illnesses, I often watch videos from Psych2go. This is a really good one for anyone who wants to learn about different types of mental illness. It's interesting, and can be really helpful for anyone suffering themselves or wanting to know more a loved ones mental illness.

Hi guys.

So there’s so many things that we all need in order to take care of our mental health.

Out of them all,
I think hope and support are top tier for me. If you’re struggling, please look through and see if there’s an area you can improve for your own sake.

As always, you’re free to share on the page or reach out to me!

So, because I have low self esteem, some spots and have put a few pounds on 🐷, I challenged myself to share a more honest picture than my usual. This picture is a HD portrait photo (😰😰😰). Usually I have make up on, am dressed up and have done something a bit more substantial to my hair. So I thought I’d share a picture of me- was it no makeup (but have brushed my eyebrows 😂). My hair straight out of bed... wearing my mum clothes. Because, this is actually me 🤷🏻‍♀️. Anyone else who wants to share a natural photo, feel free to join in!
