I want to share the back story behind Apothacandy ✨
Apothacandy, formally known as The Kinkee Cauldron, was born in 2021 when I moved back to Arizona to care for my dad while he battled Covid—just a year after losing my mom. Against all odds, he pulled through, and during that time I started creating little altar boxes filled with handmade items.
My dad was living with me at the time and would even go out treasure hunting for me—finding boxes and trinkets at garage sales and (his favorite) dumpster dives. Inside each box, I included a little handmade perfume roll-on with full moon–charged crystals and essential oils. That part lit me up the most. I realized painting was a hobby, but creating scents was my passion.
Not long after, my dad passed. I felt lost and unmotivated until an unexpected conversation with a psychic reminded me that my dad is still with me. She told me he knew I’d succeed if I poured my energy into this dream. She also said he’s with my mom (his soulmate) and even my future son—another story for another day.
Apothacandy is for my dad. He’s my guardian angel, showing up through angel numbers, songs on the radio, and feathers along my path. His signal is strong, just like he was. I wouldn’t be here without you, Poppa Bear. 🪽✨🕊️
