This is my mom and her life line 3 days a week for 5 hours.

My Dad Fred Werner sent this to me today.
When things needed fixed or built. They’d say give it to Fred he can fix everything. However the one thing I love the most and need to fix I can’t. I need help to give this girl back her life.

So today my mom got some very disheartening news. Her UPMC Transplant coordinator called her telling her she is no longer on the transplant list.
She has calcium build up in an artery which complicates the transplant surgery. The procedure will take more than just the transplant team to perform so a deceased donor is not possible due to the shorter preparation time. A living donor is possible because the surgery can be planned ahead of time with all the necessary people in place.
In the meantime as we exhaust all other options and get more information, I am including the link for a living donor.

February 2026 will mark 5 years of waiting and being called for kidneys that ended up not being hers.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone with similar story who found a way through it.

Yes! 🥳
After a 15 month 🚑health journey of Gallbladder removal, bowel obstruction,colostomy,colostomy reversal and arm fistula surgeries🩺; Janet is back on the transplant list!!📝
Unfortunately during her gallbladder complications a donor kidney had to be denied due to her condition.
We are hopefull! 🤞
