Pros:
⋆⃝🧚♀️ May guaranteed benefits after 20 years (cashable or as hospital limit), plus bonuses if walang claims (up to 85% return of premiums) o mataas investment earnings — parang forced savings na may health upside!
⋆⃝🧚♀️ May term life, accidental death, at waiver for death/disability during paying period — proteksyon sa pamilya habang binabayaran mo pa.
⋆⃝🧚♀️ Free annual physical exam and dental (unlimited check-ups, once-a-year prophylaxis) – peace of mind for long-term, lalo na post-retirement. (Note: Basic outpatient consultations start from the 8th year onward, while preventive like APE and dental available after first year.)
⋆⃝🧚♀️ Mas flexible kaysa traditional HMO na nawawala pag retired ka — dito, funds mo pa rin ang nagpo-provide ng coverage kahit tumanda ka.
⋆⃝🧚♀️ Family assistance service — May option for family members to get help (though approval depends on evaluation, not automatic family plan).
⋆⃝🧚♀️ No annual renewal hassles — Unlike short-term HMOs na yearly renew at possible premium hikes, dito lifetime coverage basta may funds (after paying period). You only pay for 7 years.
⋆⃝🧚♀️ Unique sa market — Isa lang ang Kaiser na may ganitong 3-in-1 (long-term health + life insurance + investment/savings) na designed specifically for retirement/post-employment health needs; walang exact same sa ibang companies.
Cons: 😭
😱 First 7 years pre-existing conditions not covered – para protektahan healthy members.
→ May guaranteed portions (like fixed LTC benefits na cashable after 20 years) + potential for higher growth (some plans show 10%+ average returns), so mas mataas pa sa regular savings account at may health coverage pa — hindi pure gamble.
😱 Mixed reviews: some say reliable, mabilis claims, better than VUL for health; pero may complaints din about poor service, ignored complaints or past bad rep (though improving recently).
→ Many policyholders (including recent maturity stories) report maayos na claims processing lalo na sa health benefits, free APE/dental yearly, at improving service — regulated by Insurance Commission (HMO license), SEC (registered corp), at DOH (accredited), kaya may strict oversight at positive growth experiences.
😱 Not pure insurance – more like health savings with investment, so risk if funds underperform or company issues (though regulated).
→ Dual benefit pala: proteksyon sa health ngayon + potential wealth building (e.g., cash conversion after 20 years, unused benefits accumulate with interest sa "Health Savings Account" na 3-10% guaranteed range) — mas flexible kaysa pure HMO na "use it or lose it" o VUL na investment-heavy lang, at low risk dahil positive accumulation lang ang nangyayari. Fully regulated by Insurance Commission, SEC, at DOH para safe ang funds at benefits mo.
😱 Mahal initial commitment for 7 years, tapos if madalas gamitin, baka mabilis maubos funds.
→ Limited pay-in lang (7 years), then covered for life (beyond 100 years old possible) with no more premiums — after that, funds grow pa (3-10% p.a. guaranteed range, never negative sa track record) kung hindi mo ginamit, at pwede i-convert to cash o i-use for emergencies/personal needs. Designed for discipline, pero rewards with lifelong security + possible cost-free if healthy (85% bonus + growth).
😱 Not for high-risk/ill people — Pre-existing exclusions sa first 7 years, at dependent sa health status for approval.
→ Ideal for healthy individuals planning ahead — mas sulit kung low claims, kasi funds grow more (never negative growth sa promoted track).
😱 Individual policy lang, hindi automatic family coverage** — Para sa isang tao lang primarily; family assistance may approval process.
→ Pero pwede i-extend benefits sa family via add-ons or separate plans at may life protection na nakakatulong sa dependents.
😱 Long lock-in period — 7 years minimum pay commitment at maturity around 20 years for full benefits.
→ Rewards long-term discipline — young buyers (30-50s) get more growth time, at after 7 years, no more payments pero coverage + growth continues.
🏆 Overall, for me as an agent — this is good for long-term planning kung healthy ka now at gusto mo future-proof health + savings. Hindi para sa lahat, pero kung priority mo ang retirement health security + growing funds (not just expense like regular HMO), sulit na sulit to para sa marami.
