How to not binge this Valentine's Day if you feel alone👇🏼

Happy -- should I say Galentine's Day?!

Yes, why not!

Happy Galentine's to all my beautiful ladies out there!

If you're feeling alone today, keep reading..

This holiday is about love, right?💕

Well yes it is, but for some reason it emphasizes the love you have for others...
.when at the end of the day, your love and relationship with yourself is just as important! (if not more)

But for some reason, when we feel alone...
..our respect and love for ourselves gets pushed to the wayside

So this Valentine's day, I want you to celebrate yourself & show your body the respect it deserves

Here's what you can do...

Set up a date night - with yourself! 💕

1. Make or order yourself a meal you LOVE
2. Grab a glass of wine, tea, hot chocolate - whatever is comforting for you!
3. Get yourself a yummy dessert too!
4. Put on your fave movie & curl up with your blanket (or pets)

And know that even though you may feel alone, you're not.

You have the best thing in the world -- and that's yourself.

The more you respect (and wine & dine) yourself...
..the more confident you will feel!

And the more confident you feel..
.the more likely you will attract someone who will respect you right back!

Sending you my love this Galentine's 💕

what if I told you gaining weight doesn't make you a failure?

do you feel that gaining weight over covid will cause people to judge you and see you as a failure?

unfortunately, the reality is...
.we live in a fatphobic world.

so of course you are going to feel the pressure to not gain weight!

but this fear of weight gain is what will keep you in the toxic dieting cycle...
.and make you feel stuck.

but you are NOT a failure if you gain weight!

You are merely human.

we are NOT meant to weigh the same as we did in high school.

and those who may be judging you and your body..
.says a lot more about them and their insecurities than it does about you.

this is YOUR body.

this is YOUR life.

Why are you suffering for other people?

It is time to take this under your control and finally break free from this diet cycle.

You don't deserve to suffer anymore in fear that other people will judge you.

why you always binge on sweets👇🏼

do you tell yourself you're only allowed to eat donuts or sweets at a special event?

so maybe you're waiting for the next birthday or gathering with friends..
.but you find yourself craving & binging on donuts & other sweets sooner than the party😣

you are not alone.

you may be binging on these donuts or sweets for 2 reasons...

1. You are triggered by physical binge - this is when you are simply not eating "enough" for your body throughout the day

2. You are triggered by an emotional binge - this is when a situation triggers an emotion that puts you into a binge

These are the two most common reasons for a binge...
.. so take a second to reflect and see if one or maybe both of these binge triggers are happening to you.

what to do when your stomach doesn't fit into your jeans

have you ever put on jeans, seen your stomach hanging over and felt insecure?

But you don't want to get rid of the jeans because they fit you when you were 20lbs lighter.

I hear you, and you are not alone feeling this way.

but at the end of the day, if wearing these jeans makes you feel insecure...
.this negative feeling is going to spill over your entire day!

you're going to be insecure with what you're eating.

possibly restrict or go into a binge.

so here is what I tell my clients to do when their jeans don't fit...

1. Notice the shaming thoughts e.g. "I hate how my stomach looks in these jeans"

2. Recognize the negative result of being critical & ask yourself "how is this comment helping me & sabotaging me?"

3. Respond gently "If I feel insecure in these jeans, I don't have to wear them today"

4. And then take off those d@mn jeans!

5. Put on pants that make you feel good

And I am happy to say that once my client took off those jeans..
.put them aside in a bag in her closet

AND put on pants that made her feel good..
.she had a wonderful day without the negativity weighing over her!

how to trust your body while still tempted to diet…

Do you still want to lose that covid weight but ALSO want to stop binging & trust your body again?

I want you to know that...
..you CAN still want to change the number on the scale AND

start to learn HOW to be FREE with food by learning how to listen to and trust your body.

The journey will take longer to actually get to FULL intuitive eating

BUT it is 100000% worth it.

This journey is all about baby steps, my friend.

and I am here to meet you where you are at.

so if there is a part of you that still wants to lose weight, I understand.

I don't promise or set weight loss goals with you BUT

I hold a space for your desire for weight loss...
.and help you build the tools to become more free with food and your body!

So food & living become simple again AND

you stop letting these food thoughts consume you & take your energy!

I understand it is not your fault.

It is society & diet culture's fault and you are a VICTIM.

If you are feeling you want to start your journey to make eating simple again, DM me "simple" to learn how!

why avoiding chips & dieting won't help your binge eating...

were you bombarded with many Noom diet ads last week like I was?

and did this trigger you into a binge, or two? or maybe it lasted all week.

well I'm here to say, please don't feel you need to restrict or diet this week!

hear me out..
..this is MUCH easier said than done, and I don't blame you for wanting to do these things.
..but it is about baby steps my friend

unfortunately restricting & dieting after a binge will set you up to stay STUCK in the miserable diet cycle

what WILL help is healing from this negative mindset

and feeding yourself ENOUGH!

your body deserves to eat today & every day.

and you are STILL worthy if you binge

If you want to learn more about how I can help you ditch the diet-binge cycle, DM me "BINGE FREE" & I'd be happy to chat!

what my therapist told me when I didn't like my belly...

have you ever put on a dress, looked at your belly in the mirror and felt uncomfortable?

well I have...
.and here's what my therapist had to say

"either get comfortable with the dress or get rid of it"

I remember thinking to myself "but I love the dress, I don't want to get rid of it"

So here's how I helped myself get out of those thoughts...

1. I noticed the shaming thoughts e.g. "I hate how my belly looks in this dress"

2. I acknowledged the negative result of being critical & asked myself "how is this comment helping me & sabotaging me?"

3. I responded with kindness "If I don't feel comfortable in the dress now, I don't have to wear it, but I will work on my body image and try again"

And I am happy to say that after a lot of mental work on healing my relationship with my body, I now wear the dress & feel comfortable and confident in it!

✨BONUS TIP✨

Take a step back & look at your whole self instead of the part that you're insecure about.

Remind yourself of all your amazing qualities & what your body does for you.

Note: I recognize my thin, white privilege & know my journey and story today does not reflect everyone else's pains and struggles from a fatphobic, racist society.

why you always binge on chocolate🍫👇🏼

do you tell yourself not to eat that chocolate that's sitting on the counter?

But you find yourself binging on it later?

you are not alone, my friend.

If this is you, it may be because of 2 reasons...

1. You are an "all-or-nothing" thinker, you don't allow yourself to have chocolate unless you're off the diet or it's a "cheat day"

OR

2. You allow yourself a strict limit "I'll only have 1 piece"

Both of these are forms of physical restriction...
.and psychologically, when you tell yourself you cannot have it

the brain signals you the want it MORE, crave it MORE

because we often want what is forbidden to us.

Take a second to reflect on this & if it sounds like you.

Also comment below your fave chocolate💕

how you stop hating your stretch marks👇🏼

do you have stretch marks on your legs, arms, or belly that you hate?

perhaps you had a baby or your body changed and as a result there's stretch marks..

my client had the same issue...

she had stretch marks on her belly after having her baby

she would look in the mirror and fixate on them

so here's how I helped her get out of those thoughts...

1. notice the shame e.g. "I hate how my stretch marks show in a bikini"

2. acknowledge the negative outcome of being critical & ask yourself "how is this comment helping me & sabotaging me?"

3. Respond with kindness & how you would to a friend "these stretch marks are proof that my body created a miracle and was able to have my child"

✨BONUS TIP✨

Take a step back & look at your whole self instead of the part that you're insecure about.

Remind yourself of all your amazing qualities & what your body does for you.

I am looking for 5 women who want to feel free with food & their bodies..
.for 2022!!🥳🎉

If you are sick of starting the new year with a new diet & your brain is consumed by negative food and body thoughts, this might be you.

You MUST be someone who:
✨is willing to try an non-diet approach
✨is willing to not have weight loss goals at the forefront while working together (remember I always hold a space for wanting weight loss)
✨ is ready to invest in themselves

If that's you, comment "ME" below and I'll send you over a couple questions 🙂

how to break FREE from the diet cycle for 2022👇🏼

does every January roll around and you hear yourself say "my new year's resolution is to lose weight around my stomach?"

if you answered yes then keep reading...
.you've been making the SAME new years resolution year after year

you are stuck in this diet cycle & want to get out...
.but don't know how or where to even begin

well i'm here to tell you that you CAN break free from this cycle

you CAN live a life feeling comfortable in your own skin & free with food!

it's not easy, but here is how you can start...

1. write yourself a pros & cons list of dieting

2. take a hard look at the cons & ask yourself "is this worth it?" "do I want to be 80 and have the cons impacting me?"

3. if your answer is "no" then you've completed your first step in breaking free from the diet cycle

Now that you know you don't want to keep suffering from diets, what is next?

In my humble opinion... intuitive eating is the only way you can actually start healing your relationship with your body and food

I've helped many women who felt just as stuck as you, break free from dieting and finally feel free & happy with food and their bodies.

and I want to that for you too..
.because you deserve it

So, if you want to learn more about how I can help you kick off 2022 with food & body freedom, DM me "DIET FREE" & I'd be happy to chat!

how to stop binging in 2022🍫👇🏼

do you tell yourself not to have the hot chocolate and end up finding yourself binging on it later on?

yeah, I hear you :(

If this is you, the holidays may have looked like 1 of 2 ways…

1. You "broke" the diet and binged on anything that had chocolate in it, feeling ashamed.

OR

2. You stuck to the diet, and watched everyone else enjoy YOUR favourite holiday desserts like gingerbread cookies!

But this doesn't have to be how it is for 2022!

You CAN enjoy your future holidays & EVERY day without guilt.

Start practicing today with these phrases:

1. "(insert your fave holiday food here) is not "bad". Eating it will not make me a bad person."

2. "When I think about eating this food meal in 7 years from now, will this matter?" (very likely not)

3. "Allowing myself to enjoy my fave foods will benefit myself & everyone around me because I will be more present and make memories with them."

We can get so obsessed with food & our bodies..

…that we forget all the other important things they both give us.

Save this to remind you later💕
