Mama Grace Goes Home is an interactive resource tool designed for parents, caregivers, therapists and the like to discuss the topic of death and the afterlife with a child. Through its casual dialogue between a mother and her young curious son, the book provides a gentle way to introduce the subject of death and for initiating the process of how to cope with grief in a positive way. Though geared towards younger age groups (ages 3-8), the supplemental activities provided in the back, can be used to integrate older age children as well. Let us all begin the process of healing together with our children.

My brother Ronald Harrill and I had our book signing Saturday my first ever! My niece Sandgria McCombs who is the illustrator of my book joined us as well. It was a family collaboration that was truly a blessing to take part in! So thankful and grateful for everyone that helped! A special thank you to the graciousness of Mr. Jimmy Poole and the other family members of Mrs Grace Poole who have supported my efforts and who were there yesterday; Pastor Chris Gash and the wonderful worshippers of New Ellis Chapel Baptist Church; Sister Jaketa Richelle Price and the beautiful and talented youth Praise Dancers of Kingdom Nation 4 God Church; my sister Cheryl Griffin for her love and support yesterday and always; Mr. Darrell Brantley for the beautiful photos he took; Mr Kevin and Mrs Crystal Brown for the fabulous decorations and all those who took time to come out and support us and for those who prayed for a successful day. Hey Family and Friends!
I have some exciting news to share with you. I just became a published author! To God Be All The Glory! My new book is called Mama Grace Goes Home: A Book of Hope and Healing for Children Coping with Grief. As a result of the pandemic, God made me aware that there are many people especially children who are struggling with the loss of their loved ones. The book's genesis came from the fact that we personally had to deal first hand with the loss of our dear staff member who was just like family, Mrs. Grace Poole during the pandemic and having to explain to Eisan what happened to her. Many children have been left with similar questions that need to be addressed. My hope and prayer is that with this little book, parents, caregivers and the like can open up a discussion and start helping our children to deal with grief. Their mental and emotional health are very important to their well being! We need to make sure they are moving forward in a positive way.
