Well I planted 300 plus bulbs. The first round of daffodils got froze out. This round of daffodils look good but my tulips are stunted. No rain and too hot. They would have been so much more beautiful if they weren't so short.
Well hopefully the weather next year will make this look so much better. Ugh Kansas weather 😞

New bottles for my infused oils too. These oils can be used in your hair beard or on your body.

The Lawrence farmers market had a float at the Saint Patrick's Day parade! All the great people who helped with it and all the great parade goers who cheered on the farmer's market. It was freaking cold but so much fun!

Well the winter wind is blowing in! I went out and harvested as many star magnolia flowers as I could reach. Tomorrow they will all be gone.
I was hoping for a large harvest this year with all the blooms coming on. I won't have much of the vinegar but I will have a limited batch.
I soak the petals in white balsamic vinegar and add cardamom pods. It makes a lovely vinegar.
Maybe the pink magnolia will still bloom after this cold snap as she hasn't bloomed yet. Fingers crossed 🤞

Well my front garden is bursting. And all those 350 bulbs are coming up in the front lawn, some of the daffodils are blooming. I was looking forward to the lawn being full of daffodils and tulips.
Now I need to cut them because March has decided to go back to Winter ❄️

With all the dumpster fire this world is right now nature reminds me....
My pots of Sweetgrass have made it through the harsh cold. The way it's peeking through the dead grass fills my heart. When she starts growing the heat off the house makes her scent fill the walkway. She is known as the Mother's hair. I adore and love this plant ally so very much. So happy to see her sprouts at this time,❤️

Coming to the Kaw Valley seed fair! This Saturday, February 14th.
I have new merchandise. Hoodies, t shirts & totes are limited as this is my first printing.
I made some special body scrubs in chocolate and in rose just for Valentine's Day. Also a rose vanilla lip balm.
Since colds are still going around I also included some menthol & eucalyptus shower steamers.
I had many requests for paw balm for the furry friends. Doggo tested, safe if licked and no essential oils!
