The Sanskrit words for “letting go” in yoga are Aparigraha (non-grasping, non-possessiveness) and Vairagya (detachment, dispassion), both emphasizing the importance of releasing attachments to things, thoughts, or outcomes to enable us to find inner peace and freedom, with Aparigraha being one of the ethical guidelines (Yamas) and Vairagya a deeper state of conscious non-attachment from Patanjali’s. 🙏
