I have been having the best sleep!!

I think this is my 3rd tub bath this week 🛀

I’m on week 4 of my workout routine and I am loving the energy 💪🏽

Self care is sooo important and as a working mom it’s easy to forget about “ME” time🤷🏽‍♀️

I have tons of bath bombs but this week I’ve been keeping it simple.

About a cup of Epsom salt mixed with my favorite essential oils 💦

No bubbles...just a nice warm bath before my shower 🚿

Epsom salt has Magnesium, which is great for a restful sleep not to mention sore muscles ❤️

Bigger isn’t always better 🤷🏽‍♀️

So I had this aquarium filter that was super loud and gigantic.

It had these spinning wheels that didn’t work properly and the piece hanging down into the tank would always get disconnected.

It was a royal pain.

This little gem here I purchased after looking up the top 10 filters and it works like a charm with no obnoxious sounds and no wheels to worry about and it’s actually pretty small in comparison.

Point being, always read the reviews before purchasing anything. It can save you time, money and frustration!!

So just in case you were wondering...

What happened to Whatever Wednesday 🤷🏽‍♀️

I had my 2nd COVID vaccination 💉 on Tuesday.

I successfully got through work on Wednesday with a minor headache BUT...

As soon as I got home, my head started pounding accompanied by dizziness and the chills so I literally jumped in the shower and passed out 😴

My first skipped workout in almost 3 weeks.

I had a fever of 103 🤯

I am grateful I woke up this morning feeling 90% better and got through a full day of work.

I got my workout in tonight and I am feeling back to my normal self 🙏🏽

So there you have it, that’s my excuse and that my vaccination experience and I’m sticking to it 🤣

It is what it is 🤷🏽‍♀️

I had no idea you can make a salad with Brussels sprouts 😍

Shredded
Shallot sliced
1/4 cup chopped Ningxia berries (substitute raisins or cranberries)

And I candied pecans for the first time 😋

1 cup pecans pieces tossed in olive oil cooking spray

Add 2 tbs Maple syrup

Dust with 1/4 tsp of each
👉🏽Himalayan salt
👉🏽Cinnamon Powder
👉🏽Cayenne powder

Dressing

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp EVOO
3 tbsp spicy mustard
1 1/3 tbsp Maple Syrup
Himalayan salt
Black Pepper

Pecans and dressing you will have extra servings.

Put them all together and enjoy 😋

I’ve been getting a lot more accomplished lately even though the past few weeks have been pretty jammed pack for me.

I started a new exercise program a few weeks ago. Week 3 started today and I’ve been compliant 6 days, Monday- Saturday, with 1 day of rest (as it should be)🙏🏽

The energy is crazy.

Still working on the getting to bed earlier. I really want to focus on better sleep hygiene.

Like adding a nice tub bath before bed 🛀 😉

But the point being, keep moving toward your goals, baby steps...big steps, it doesn’t matter just take A STEP💪🏽

Hint hint...start with saying out loud 🗣 (conscious language)

There’s nothing better than spending time with family.

We celebrated my brother-in-law’s , John’s, birthday today.

Lots of laughs, good company and great food and tasty drinks.

Granny had her first outing since getting vaccinated.

Today was a fantastic day in the neighborhood ❤️

Do you ever go out to eat and ask your waiter or waitress to choose your meal?

I tend to be indecisive at times🤦🏽‍♀️

So we checked out a restaurant new to us while pops was in surgery and I’m not huge on breakfast so I’m like “choose your choice out of these 3”

And the winner was...shrimp and grits 😳

I have never been a fan of grits I must add.

BUT

This was absolutely delicious 😋

I don’t even know what the sauce was in the middle but it was like eating hummus with a side of Cajun shrimp 🤷🏽‍♀️

My sister would have enjoyed this!!

Anyway, the point being...don’t be afraid to try new things.

You never know what your missing out on if you don’t try.

Be surprised 🤩

Live adventurously 😉

Have you ever realized that negative talk is really just FEAR whispering in your ear?

And I’m sure you already know that FEAR is a LIAR 🎶

Self-sabotage to be exact 🤦🏽‍♀️

Positive speech is where it’s at 💪🏽💪🏽

“Speak Life”

“Conscious Language”

Whatever you choose to call it!!

If you’re wondering what all that even really means...it’s simply changing your speech pattern.

Converting the negative words to positive words.

Nourishing your entire being with strength and truth because God in you can🙌🏽🙌🏽

It starts with faith and mindset = BELIEF

Start small by expanding your language with simple exchanges like these👇🏽

I can’t ➡️ I will

I want ➡️ I have

It’s impossible ➡️ It’s possible

I don’t know ➡️ I choose to know

It’s too hard ➡️ It’s fun and easy

That’s right fun and easy...make it like a game or sport.

And when you find yourself using less favorable words just “cancel, delete” and then choose your greatest outcome❤️

I’m talking life changing
⚡️Mental clarity
⚡️Happiness
⚡️Peace
⚡️Self love

One of my big goals is to have a beachfront property 🏖

But after visiting these guys 🤷🏽‍♀️

Not interested in the snowbird life 🥶

But...

Maybe a surf and turf life could be a thing 🤣

After all, I do enjoy a good surf and turf 😋

So rethinking my big goal and making it bigger🤩

Beachfront property

And

Farmhouse property

My sister could dig that ❤️

Dream big

Then, dream even bigger!!

Now time to get to work💪🏽

Don’t forget to get your water in 💦

So how much water do you need to actually drink 🤔

In a nut shell, 1/2 your body weight (lbs) in ounces 😋

Did you know that dehydration can cause hunger?

Drink more water = feel less hungry 💡

So if that’s not THE best reason 🙌🏽🙌🏽

It’s also great for clearing your complexion🧖🏽‍♀️

Keeping that skin nice and elastic👙
