đ¸đ These Christmas photos are two years apart! Arms, weight, and nutrition are night and day!!
While you canât tellâtwo years (and my whole life actually) ago, I worked out 4/5 days a week like I do nowâŚSo then what changed you ask!
Details firstâŚ.
Photo number one, I was 138lbs and eating whenever and whatever! Pretty much maintaining that for near 6 years. That weight at 5â2 meant my BMI was borderline overweight and I was desperate to not enter that zone. I was active but the baby weight I had accumulated from my last 5 pregnancies (in 6 years) just wasnât coming off like I thought it would . And when I dieted, my âgoodâ nutrition only ever went as far as a week or two I because couldnât stick to any diet and I tried them all: Keto, IF, 17-day diet, Whole Foods. None âworkedâ for me! I thought it was hopeless because I couldnât gain muscle despite all my working out, and I couldnât stick with any of the diets on the market. I pretty much thought I was dysfunctional.
𤊠Because of social media ( admittedly), I became familiar with some pretty popular and pretty fit women who were pre & post-menopausal. They gave me hope, education, and exemplified a model of what to do right if I wanted to lose weight and gain muscle in my late 40âs.
â
It worked.
The results are I finally dropped the baby weight (13 lbs) and gained muscle in my arms. I did this by completely revamping my nutrition to not âwhatever and wheneverâ with some diet hacks thrown in. Instead, I logged my daily meals every day: the old calories in, calories out model; not a diet hack just simple math and science. I NOW prioritize a minimum of 125g of protein and carbs per meal with 4-5 meals per day. And my nutrition/calories revolve around whatever my training program is. I vary it up quarterly from building muscle to strength gains, to training for competitions, to maintaining, and some fat loss phases too.
If I can do it with 8 kids and now 50yoâ YOU CAN TOO!!
