Our latest employee spotlight goes to Shaye Sullivan (Au.D., CCC-A), an audiologist here at ENT Associates of Alabama!

Dr. Sullivan is passionate about making a difference in the lives of her patients through guiding and supporting them on their hearing healthcare journey. Her professional interests include diagnostics, hearing amplification and rehabilitative audiology.

Outside of work, Dr. Sullivan enjoys traveling, reading, sports and spending time with her family and friends!

Congratulations to our Audiologist of the Quarter, Annie Callaway! 🦻🥼

Annie has been with ENT since May of 2018 where she started as an Audiology extern at our Grandview office and then joined us as a full-time clinical audiologist at our St. Vincent's location in May 2019. She graduated from the University of Alabama with her Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders in 2015 and then graduated from the University of South Alabama with her Doctor of Audiology in 2019. Her favorite thing about Audiology are her patients and the impact she has on their lives. Outside of work, Annie loves spending her free time playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with her family and sweet dog Hank.

"I had a patient recently tell me he was able to hear his daughter clearly saying her wedding vows, something he would not have been able to enjoy if it were not for his hearing aids. Priceless!"

Congratulations to our Audiologist of the Quarter, Julie Fortenberry!! 🦻🩺🥼

Julie has been with ENT since October 2007. Prior to joining ENT Associates she spent her time working in Georgia and Illinois before moving to Cullman and joining ENT Associates of Alabama. Julie graduated from Auburn University in 1999 with a Masters in Communication Disorders - Audiology, War Eagle!🐆 Her favorite thing about Audiology is the impact that she can make on a patient's life. It may be helping someone with positional vertigo - which makes them be able to have a normal day without an episode of dizziness. It could also be giving new parents reassurance that their little one does not have a hearing loss or even helping a parent whose child does have hearing loss get the resources they need. When not at work, Julie likes to spend her time with her family and church family who keep her very busy planning and scheduling.

"I had a patient recently come back to see me after 6 years. He had a physical issue with one ear that made him a challenge. When I first saw him, I told him I could help him get hearing in both ears which was something no other provider had offered. The fitting was a success and he was so excited to hear in both ears. He had tried another provider closer to home, but they weren't able to help his bad ear. He has recently returned and told me that hearing from both sides is well worth the extra drive. Stories like his are a challenge but I love doing my best to change lives."

Our March employee spotlight goes to Madison Hatchett (Au.D., CCC-A), an audiologist here at ENT Associates of Alabama!

Dr. Hatchett loves having the opportunity to collaborate with the ENT physicians, nurses and other audiologists at ENT Associates of Alabama to provide patients with the best care possible.

Outside of work, Dr. Hatchett enjoys intermural sports, such as kickball and softball. She and her fiancé (who she met playing kickball when she first moved to Birmingham) are also in the process of remodeling a house together!

Our newest Employee Spotlight at ENT Associates of Alabama goes to Dr. Tina Lubsen (Au.D., CCC-A)!

As an audiologist, Dr. Lubsen enjoys having the ability to make a difference in someone’s life through hearing loss treatment. She also loves being able to work with so many people at ENTAA who all focus on the goal of doing what’s best for each patient.

Dr. Lubsen spends most of her free time with her two children attending their various sports and school activities. She also enjoys reading, being with friends and traveling.

Congratulations to our Audiologist of the Quarter - Lindsay Roberts. 🦻

A little bit about our rock-star Lindsay. She has been with ENT Associates of Alabama, P.C. for a little over 5 years. She received her undergrad at the University of Maryland and her doctorate from Towson University. Lindsay's favorite thing about Audiology is the variety of patients that she gets to not only see but help. She has seen patients anywhere from newborn to over 100 years old making everyday feel like a new opportunity to learn. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys chasing around her 19 month old foster daughter and finding new brunch spots in Birmingham. Thank you for being so loyal to ENTAA Lindsay.

"Fitting a new patient with hearing aids who was previously withdrawn or tended to avoid social settings generally leads to them regaining a more active lifestyle and improved communication with family and friends. It is always encouraging to know that I was part of a patient regaining independence, confidence, and increased quality of life".
