We’ve been taught that needing help is a weakness.
That the strongest thing you can do is handle it yourself.
But your nervous system was literally designed for connection. Isolation activates your threat response. Safe relationships help regulate it.
Asking for help isn’t falling apart. It’s working with your biology, not against it.

Your window of tolerance explains so much.
Why some days you can handle everything and others the smallest thing sends you over the edge. Why you shut down when you most need to show up. Why rest doesn’t always feel restful.
It’s not about your strength. It’s about how much capacity your nervous system has in that moment.
The good news: windows can widen. With the right practices and support, your nervous system can learn to hold more.

We weren’t meant to live disconnected from ourselves.
