The awards keep on coming! Slimming world does it again.
Fresh on the back of Margaret’s win at the National Business Women’s 2023 Awards, our incredibly talented Magazine team have brought home not one, but two more awards!
Slimming World Magazine won Consumer Magazine of the Year at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards, and the magazine’s Editor Sara Ward won Editor of the Year at the British Society of Magazine Editors Awards.
The magazine’s Art Director, David Dowding, was also nominated for awards at both ceremonies, which is a huge achievement and we couldn’t be more proud of the whole team.
The next issue of the award-winning magazine goes on sale in group w/c 10th December, and to get everyone excited, here’s a ‘coming soon’ visual to post on your social media channels.

“If only I had known the life waiting for me... the life that Slimming World has given me!” We’re so proud to introduce our Woman of the Year 2023, Kelly Barker, who has lost an amazing 18st 👑❤.

After lifelong struggles with her weight – which saw her enduring miserable meal plans at school and a vicious cycle of binge eating as an adult – Kelly was recommended weight loss surgery by her GP. Knowing that the procedure carried extra risks due to her weight, she instead joined her local Slimming World group – and never looked back 🤗.

Now at her dream weight, Kelly says she’s full of self-compassion, self-awareness and self-belief ✨, and loves how her transformation has brought her so much closer to her teenage son 🥰. Read her incredible story here:
