Coastrek 2024 was my 2nd time walking the 35km trek from Parsons Beach to Port Elliot, and I can truly say that this year was much more enjoyable and without injury!

The weather started us off with drizzle for the 7am start but made the whole event more bearable.

Although The Bluff looked like it grew taller than it was last year - we powered up and overall knocked off over 1.5hrs off last year's time!

Our team - Barossa Blues 2 - came 14th from 101 teams with a total time (including toilet and water stops) of 7 hours 12 mins.

Personally I came through in 14th position from 379 participants at a personal time of 7hrs 6mins.

Other than achieving a personal goal, the aim is to raise funds for the Heart Foundation to help end heart disease. It's not too late to donate to the cause -

"Mummmmm.....I can't sleep and my tummy hurts...."

It's well past bed time and Mr 14 is still awake!

When 1 child has a snotty nose and the other has growing pains in his legs!

I love that the boys come and ask what 'magic tricks' I have for their ailments and that they are so open to using a low-tox, usually chemical free alternative to store bought and over the counter common 'fixes'!

COOL AZUL is my go-to choice to help tired and sore muscles. We use this for aches and pains after a gym session, or for Mr14's sore legs. My mum used to use a natural alternative, which her mum used for her...so I guess it's a learned behaviour!

BREATHE AGAIN is a little pocket rocket roller which I roll over the boys' chest and back when they are blocked up, or have a runny nose, or when the seasonal pollens cause mayhem with their sinuses.
