👋🏻 Hello 🙂 | It's been while so...re-introduction time!

My name is Jenni - level 5 reflexologist, sea swimmer, reluctant cook & cyclist, enthusiastic dancer, nature lover.

I first had reflexology when I was experiencing severe burnout and stress. Alongside therapy, running, and the best of friends - it was the thing that pulled me through a dark time and gave me relief. It's ability to make my body feel grounded, and my mind lighter and clearer felt like magic.

I now use a mix of duopody (treating both feet at the same time) and energy techniques in my reflexology treatments to help others feel more balanced and calm.

I'm a big believer in having a 'toolkit' of resources and practices to use alongside reflexology, and will always make tailored suggestions to my clients that might help their health and wellbeing.

I'll be sharing some of these resources as well as posts about reflexology here.

✨ Treatment space - Summer was spent building my very own treatment room, which is now ready for you. Light, airy and welcoming, it will hopefully come with a view of an olive tree (if my planting goes to plan!)

🤍WAYS TO HELP WITH STRESS.

Following on from my post about when stress becomes a problem, I wanted to share some things that I have found helpful - both personally and in my practice.

These are great habits, whether you feel that stress is affecting you adversely or not.

However, I have noticed (& experienced) that when we are overwhelmed, these practices can feel impossible. ‘No time!’ we cry….

And that’s exactly when they are needed most.

• AWARENESS - Learn to step above the day-to-day and check in with how you are. You might experience poor sleep, or feel like your heart is beating fast. But you may also realise your thoughts are racing, you can never relax (even on days off), that you are always on high alert for the next problem you need to fix. Creating some space to figure out how it may show up for you is the most crucial first step in helping yourself.

• PRIORITISING YOURSELF - So how do we create this space? By putting yourself first. Build some non-negotiable time into your day to ask yourself questions and look at your behaviours (journaling can help). Carve out this time for yourself as if it were your most important work project. An hour in the morning, half a day at the weekend, whatever you can do. Put it in your diary on repeat. You are your most important to-do list.

• CREATING CONNECTION - With yourself and the world. If your nervous system has been overstimulated for a long time, it needs a reset. You need to learn how to bring on a parasympathetic rest or digest’ state, and be able to drop into it more easily. Ways to do this include: 1) Breathwork (google for all different types). 2) Getting into your body through gentle exercise like yoga or even cold water therapy. 3) Journaling (to help you connect with yourself). 4) Confiding in & making time for loved ones (or finding a good therapist). 5)Walking in nature (by the sea, through the woods, your local park). 6) Holistic therapies such as hypnotherapy, acupuncture, and of course, reflexology.

None of these methods are new or a fast fix. They are nonetheless foundations for a life that is more balanced. And they work.

Hi everyone. So, it's all change again for a few months!

It seems Friday mornings/early afternoons are not so popular for reflexology bookings. And in my current space I can't experiment with wider appointment options for you lovely lot.

So, I'm taking the long-route & building a treatment room ✨

However, this will take a while.

If you would like squeeze in a treat for your feet I'll be at the Whitstable Yoga & Wellbeing Centre for another 2 weeks - 9th & 16th May (link in bio to book).

Over the summer you can message me & we can explore mobile treatments (in Whitstable) where I come to you.

Apologies for the stop & start. Building a wellness business takes time & experimentation & I am here for the long game!

Getting google reviews like this makes me so happy.

But not as happy as knowing my clients are prioritising rest, relaxation and rejuvenation over the busyness our world demands.

It's become a radical act, to value stillness over action. But oh so valuable!

✨ WORD OF THE YEAR > LIGHTNESS

I was reminded of this practice by a friend's post the other day. I'm not a fan of resolutions, but I do like to use January to reflect on what I want the months ahead to feel like. Choosing a word for the year can be really interesting way of capturing how you want to feel and what you want to focus on.

My word for this year is 'lightness'...

Lightness of body and spirit, learning to hold everything (people, places, things) more lightly, treading lightly on our beautiful planet, looking for light around us when the news is dark.

I love to get up with the sun, and watch the lightness return and I'm looking forward to this becoming more possible as the days slowly but surely get longer 🙂

🌾 ECO FRIENDLY PRACTICE...

For the last 7 years I've run an eco-focussed social media business ( PlanetB Social l ) and when I started Air + Earth I wanted to be sure those values were carried over...

Trying to tread more lightly (if you'll pardon the pun) is an important lifestyle choice for me, and one I'm constantly trying to improve.

Here are some of the ways I make Air + Earth as planet friendly as possible:

- My space is powered by Ecotricity (one of the only UK companies to generate their own 100% renewable energy)
- The linens & towels are washed in smol - laundry tabs that come in plastic-free packaging & are vegan & cruelty free.
- The Songbird Massage Wax reflexology wax I use is made from all natural ingredients, and is housed and delivered in recyclable and compostable packaging.
- The The Botanical Candle Co candles from the lovely local Fuchsia Green Shop are all natural soy wax and made from hand from beginning to end (minimising the environmental impact)
- & lastly, I clean the space with the gorgeously scented Tincturelondon refillable all-purpose cleaning spray.

I'm working towards all towels & lines being 100% organic too 🙂
