I first started working with Graham at the end of last year, at the time he was experiencing debilitating low back pain and was recommended surgery. Over the last few months Graham has put in some solid work and not only avoided surgery but also back doing what he loves to do.

⭐️ I’ve had quite a few questions from clients and friends about the type of training I actually do myself, so I thought I would start sharing it.

Nearly all the training I do is based round functionality and basic human movements: walking, running, throwing and jumping.

Here’s some training I did tonight which I’ll go a little more in-depth on in the future.

If anyone is interested in knowing more shoot me a message

⭐️ Vestibular training

Jane first came into the clinic back in January after been rear ended by a lorry last October.

Since then she’s been experiencing: headaches, dizziness, neck pain, brain fog and fatigue. Typical Post-Concussion syndrome symptoms.

We’ve seen a large reduction in all of these since starting chiropractic care alongside rehabilitation exercises but still have some way to go.

Vestibular training has now been introduced to work on

* Cervical fine motor control
* Stabilization exercise
* Controlled mobility exercise
* Sensory motor control
* Angle reproduction exercise
* Postural training
* Balance training

Steve first came to me a little over 3 months ago with excruciating back pain alongside neurological symptoms (numbness)

After the consultation it was clear that further investigation was need so we sent him for an MRI, unfortunately what was found was a L5/S1 sequestration (free moving disc fragment) and with symptoms getting worse over the following weeks surgery was needed.

We’re now 2 months post op and Steve is absolutely smashing his rehabilitation, from struggling to walk to where he is today. LBP is virtually non existent, numbness reducing week by week and more importantly moving better.

A functional approach has been utilised throughout care, by looking at the entire body and how it moves rather than just the localised area Steve has been able to make some astonishing results and we aren’t even close to what he’ll be able to achieve. With the goal of being able move pain free and be as athletic as possible.

It’s all in the details

Whether you’re in pain or just wanting to move better this is an amazing way to train.

⭐️ Sciatica

If you’re experiencing numbness or sharp shooting pain down the back of the leg there is a good chance this is sciatica.

The Sciatic nerve is the longest peripheral nerve in your body running from your low back down to your feet, this issue usually arrises when it’s compressed at some point.

Here is a great nerve flossing exercise to relieve symptoms, while doing the exercise make sure to point your toes towards yourself when extending your leg and pointing your toes down when bringing your leg back down

It’s important to note that if the symptoms continue to get worse over several days or you experience the symptoms down both legs you should seek advice from a medical professional

If you have any questions on this or anything similar feel free to drop me a message
