Here: Pride and Belonging in African Art centers LGBTQ+ lives through an African lens and it does so with courage, softness, and truth.

It disrupts the narrative that queerness and African identity cannot coexist. It reminds us they always have.

Through stories of family, spirit, chosen kinship, belonging, and joy, the message is clear: visibility is healing.

Representation is important for mental health. Community restores what shame tried to silence.

We are here.
Here in our culture.
Here in our spirituality.
Here in our joy.
And that joy is liberation.

I’ve been quiet for a reason.

I’ve been reconnecting with my inner child who always dreamed of being an interior decorator and creator of beautiful spaces. I’ve been designing concepts in my living room using thrifted and vintage finds, curating the art I’ve collected, and stepping into myself as a creative director and visionary.

So even though I’ve been quiet to the world, my thoughts, my feelings, my home, and my body have been loud. Creating has been another form of therapy, a way of honoring imagination and healing in real time.

I can’t wait to share what’s been growing behind the scenes as an art collector and dealer!!
