⛳️🏡 Living on a golf course might seem idyllic—but here’s something important to know.
A recent study published in JAMA Network Open followed over 25,000 older adults for about a decade and found that living in or near golf course communities was linked to a higher risk of cognitive decline and loss of independence with aging.
One major concern? The chronic exposure to pesticides and chemicals commonly used to maintain golf courses. These substances can affect the brain over time, especially when exposure is long-term.
🧠 This isn’t about fear—it’s about awareness. If you’re choosing where to live for the long run, environmental exposures matter. Beauty and green space are important, but so is what’s being sprayed into the air and soil.
