It’s Red Ribbon Week! It’s important that we work together in our communities to make them safe for all our citizens. Part of that work includes educating our youth on the harmful effects of all drugs including ni****ne.

Ni****ne is a powerful, addictive drug. It alters brain development. Your brain is not fully developed until around the age of 25. Ni****ne changes the way the synapses are formed. This in turn can damage the areas that control learning and attention.

Don’t be fooled. Va**ng is not a cure. It’s a disease.

We are proud of the USI Senior Nursing students that partnered with us to fulfill their community health hours. Today, these students presented their posters of the work completed. In Posey County, they presented to***co education to 281 junior high students and conducted free blood pressure screenings at two apartment properties.

It has been a busy couple of weeks for TFPC and USI nursing students. The students provided free blood pressure screenings and helped TFPC share information on the Indiana Quitline at Cloverleaf and The Landing properties. They also shared presentations on the risk of va**ng with
MVJH 6th graders and NPJH 7th and 8th graders. (approximately 285 students)
