I will not be taking any new assessments or repeat pairs of custom orthotics after July 1st, 2025 in preparation for our expanding family later in the month. To avoid delays in receiving your products, please book your assessment or follow-up appointment as soon as possible. I plan to return to the office in November in an unknown capacity at this time, as childcare will allow.

Last week marked 5 years in business and I couldn't help but to celebrate! I'm celebrating all of my loyal clients to have returned year after year to support me and my business. I'm celebrating my family and friends for supporting me and babysitting my little one so I can see patients to work in the lab, a little bit for all that I have accomplished over the last 5 years. This business has seen many changes through the years, most recently a massive reduction in open hours, but you guys have stuck by me and made the evening and weekend appointment times work.
Here's to the next 5 years!

Hey, hi, hello!

So, I clearly dropped the ball this last year on keeping you all updated, so I figured I would just start over.

I'm Karen, I'm a Canadian certified Pedorthist and Kinesiologist focusing on foot and lower limb health.

I opened Manitoulin Orthotic Centre in 2019 with the goal of bringing foot health and education to Manitoulin Island, rather than residents having to travel off island for care.

I offer custom orthotics, off the shelf insoles, multiple brands and styles of footwear, compression stockings, bracing, and many foot health devices.

When I'm not working, you can find me with my husband and daughter, usually enjoying the great outdoors.  I try to spend as much time with my family as possible, as each day with a young baby is a new adventure. 👶

I'm excited to share my knowledge and keep everyone moving and pain-free. I look forward to hearing from you!

Happy New Year!! 2022 was a great year thanks to all of my wonderful and supportive clients!

We do have some changes coming for 2023, some of my more recent clients would already know that I will be taking a bit of a maternity leave starting mid March until August. During that time I will still be available via phone, email and social media to answer any questions. I will also be available for any emergent cases or orthotic adjustments but I will be trying to focus on spending time with my new family rather than in the lab.

That being said, if you are looking for a new pair of orthotics for the 2023 year and don't want to wait until the end of summer, book your appointment soon!

Manitoulin Orthotic Centre will be closing Wednesday June 1st at 5:00pm and re-opening on Monday June 20th at 5:30pm. During that time I will still be occasionally answering e-mails, Facebook and Instagram messages but phone calls will be returned upon re-opening.
