Stress is not “bad”… unless our tank is empty.

If we’re properly fuelled, and focused on becoming the best version of ourselves, stress *unlocks* energy inside us, helping us to reach our potential.

Nutrition isn’t just about food.

One of the most important things we can do for our body is to hydrate properly.

How do we do that?

Electrolytes.

Magnesium, sodium, potassium and other nutrients like inositol nourish the brain and body for optimal performance.

And kefir nourishes our gut for that sweet mind-body connection. Add chia seeds as pictured for omega 3s.

Colouring the most complex structure in the universe like a 5 year old.

To understand how all the networks of the brain work, it’s useful to visualise them first.

And nothing connects knowledge up quite like a colouring book.

Some of the structures in this picture include:

Frontal Lobe

Parietal Lobe

Occipital Lobe

Temporal Lobe

Cerebellum

Brainstem

Not all thoughts are created equal. We often find it hard to distinguish between “external” thoughts - ones we cannot control - and internal thoughts, which we can.

When we focus too much on the outcome… we’re 69% less likely to achieve it.

Instead, by focusing on what we *can* do to get there: we’ll be less distracted and achieve success more easily.

A simple exercise to change this is to draw a circle in the middle of a page.

Inside the circle write everything you can control about an challenging upcoming event, or skill you’re trying to improve.

Everything else - peoples opinions of you, fear of failure - write outside.

This allows you to accept what you can’t change so you can focus on what you can.

Improve results by meditating for 10-20 minutes before hand to *really* observe what your thoughts are doing.

Lateral surface of the brain.

What can you see here?

- Central Sulcus

- Frontal Lobe: deals with executive function, movement and the production of language

- Parietal Lobe: processed sensory information we receive from the other world

- Occipital Lobe: processed visual information such as distance, depth, colour and even faces

- Temporal Lobe: processes auditory information and encodes memory

And within each of these… are so many more structures that coordinate the orchestra of our minds.
