Hello everyone. Unfortunately the goal was not met. Anyone who donated should get their refund by the end of this week. Even though this wasn’t a success I don’t want to give up on this idea, but I really need a break. I was already burned out before launch and I cannot mentally afford to give this my time right now. I will explore other options after my break. I hope to update you around September. Thank you to everyone who believes in this project!

Good afternoon, it’s time for me to announce that the goal of the campaign is $250,000. That amount covers the production of the app itself, the first year of the app’s maintenance, the fees from Indiegogo, and the production of the rewards. Any additional money made will go into adding more features like health articles and detailed pregnancy.

Some good news for your Monday Morning, the launch date for the campaign is WEDNESDAY JULY 6TH! It will be set for a 30 day duration and it will be Fixed Funding. Fixed Funding means if the goal is not met by the end of the 30 days your money will be refunded.

Currently speaking with a fulfillment center, Easyship, about shipping rewards. Rewards will ship within the United States, Canada, and Australia. Shipping for rewards will not be charged during the campaign, but after. So if you pledge for a reward during the campaign, you will pay an additional amount for shipping later. The reason being that things can change in a short amount of time including the cost of shipping. So if I were to add current shipping costs now and then something changed, it would screw with the project. The fulfillment center will provide me with an estimate chart on shipping costs that I will share.

So the Friday meeting was basically explaining that because of the addition of the privacy methods it will take longer than the initial 2-3 months and cost more to develop. I'm looking at end of June or mid July to start the campaign. Here's some mock ups for one of the rewards I'm working on.

Science Soft Update: All of the points listed in the previous post can be done. Information about the method of storing data on your phone locally will be described in the privacy policy section. Still have to have the meeting this Friday. The creation of Pack will only be possible if the campaign is successful, so please share this via social media and word of mouth.

Science Soft Update: Here's a list of ways we will try to protect your privacy. Some of these were already part of the plan but I'm just laying it all out here. And to be clear, these are not set in stone yet. I'm not a tech person so I'm not sure what can work, but I wanted to keep you guys updated. Another meeting will hopefully be held this Friday.

1.) No tracking software so no location data will be collected.
2.) Data will be encrypted
3.) Data will be stored locally aka your phone
4.) A passcode to log in which you can also opt out of if you get tired of that
5.) You can use a pseudonym instead of your real name
6.) We will not sell your data to third parties
7.) Be able to delete all of your data or data in a time range you choose, from your phone

I'm working on rewards for the campaign and since Facebook no longer allows polls to be posted or created in stories, please feel free to comment whether you'd like an enamel pin or iron on patch of the physical symptoms and/or logo to be a reward. Yes the text will be included in the product. You can mention 4 symptoms at most.

Science Soft Update: I just got an email back. My main point of contact is the Health Solutions Sales Leader. I asked him what could be done on the technical and legal front. He will schedule a meeting with Science Soft's Compliance Officer to get his advice. Hopefully we will have answers next week.

Good morning everyone, I have noticed your concerns about your privacy using this app and period apps in general in light of recent events with Roe v Wade. As stated on the website, Pack will not sell your data. I will not pull this Big Brother 1984 bull$ #!+. The developer I have been having meetings with, Science Soft, has been on the same page as me since our first meeting. Our initial concern was the privacy of user's gender identities and their health. With the possibility of Roe v Wade being overturned, Science Soft and I will be looking into more ways to protect your privacy tech wise and legal wise. I will update here and through the newsletter.
